The actress playing the new detective is here in IMDB and also in the credits leading the episode on TV.
1. Typical representation of immigrants (legal or not) who profess to coming here because they like the American way, but once they arrive remain the same as at home, retaining their language, customs, etc. And then complaining that the police won't protect them.
2. Erin's DA boss is pathetic. After shafting Erin's case last week, she continues to try to show her boss position. And what is with her voice. Why do so many actors these days have to speak in that low-level, gravelly tone?
3. In reviewing that minor bad act by that Lt a major concern was his pension. We all should have a gravy train like that. Do you have any idea how much is spent on civil servant penchions in the US? And why should he have a union having any say in his treatment. Again, we should all be so lucky to have such a guardian angel. And it is fairly unlikely that public opinion would cause some ground swell that would topple the dept. If his short stint in the drunk tank proves him to be a bad cop, the church his butt out.
4. The policy of special assignment for decorated cops is probably not bad. But the cop should be qualified and there should be an opening. And the Big 3 should be a little professional. I love Abigail and hate Sid.
5. And Linda was one of my favorite characters on any show ever.
This is still one of my favorite shows. Just certain little things bug me. The real big one is Frank kow-towing to the Catholic Church. Can the head of the baptist or Lutheran churches just walk into his office and demand action? I guess that is enough.
