Speaking to Romeo and Mink in turn, Xavier learns their step-dad beat the whole family. When Romeo was 14, he diverted his anger towards their mother, until one time when he was drunk (fired from his job) she feared for her life and knocked him down with a cricket-bat, killing him. After their mother left, she was arrested and convicted for murder. Geoff regrets his inability of self-control since the riot, nearly gets arrested after spotting a lifeguard who was with the perpetrators, dumps busybody Ruby and takes Alf's advice to try prayer again. Tony's calm temperament clashes with John's business-aggression, but Tony also scolds his gym-partner's inhumane riot-provoking. Leah admits to Rachel the vandal fire left her agoraphobic all week.
