There's some decent stuff in here but you have to wade through some dross to get to it, namely the ongoing saga of Zeke and PirateNet.The whole thing is utterly ridiculous with Paul suddenly being given a fancy job title to explain why he's involved, Zeke getting stroppy a lot, the advertisers providing a convenient cop-out ending and Rebecca changing her mind every five minutes.
Rebecca suddenly organising a party for Kate is a fairly random occurrence, it would have made more sense to have had Donna or Harry and Sophie in charge.Kate is left with mixed feelings and the whole thing's a qualified success. But the episode itself succeeds because of the ever winning chemistry between Kate and Declan.Although their kiss is fairly lukewarm, the scenes leading up to it as they dance at the party and then talk by the lake and his astonishingly well-judged present are superb.
