Good Wife-As Good As It Gets, But Why Only ***?
edwagreen10 November 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Michael J. Fox turns in a tremendous performance which should be remembered at Emmy time for best actor in a special performance category. How he uses his disability to sway a jury is phenomenal; he is quite a cunning and vicious character as well. Well done, Mr. Fox.

Why did I only rate this episode ***? I immediately guessed why the new black candidate had that work on her breasts. Anyone should have been able to guess that. How the campaigns never checked into that was amazing. It just shows you how vicious campaigns get and how they will use anything to get the upper hand. If this isn't enough,Kalinda has come out of the closet. Are we going to have a full blown episode of sexual orientation problems in the workplace?

Somehow we missed this series from the beginning and recently started streaming on Amazon Prime from season one, episode 1. Got hooked on the interesting story lines and excellent characters developed along the way. A different story each episode with new characters added to the original cast so its always interesting. Ridley Scott directs ("Alien" in his excellent portfolio) Very good series, this year running season 6, with many well known actors playing new roles. There seem to be about 23 episodes in each season so it will take a good while to work through them all. Other new TV series seem to be over after 10 episodes or less just when one gets interested! Highly recommended

[7.2] The harpoon

Warning: Spoilers
Episode 6: An average to good episode with some matters of mild to above-mild interest in it, centered on (medical and pharmaceutical) issues in and out of court alike, surrounding plots & sub-plots with some good acting by especially Michael J. Fox, semi-cunning situations with an ending resembling a harpoon into the Alicia's ego.

Great guest star!

Michael J.Fox appears as one of the best characters I have seen in The Good Wife. I love the Louis Canning character, he is so mean, fun and interesting, and isn't afraid to use his condition as a lawyer. I think this is very refreshing in a tv series, a handycaped person who you can see as a normal person, with his flaws and his virtues. Very inclusive, yay for them!
