- The intensity of life "over there" accelerates as Olivia finds herself in mortal danger.
- In the parallel universe, Olivia submits to a viral-propagated eclampsia (VPE) test since her sister died while giving birth to her baby. When she returns to her apartment, she is abducted and taken to a facility where she is subjected to a procedure that accelerates her pregnancy. Meanwhile the Fringe Division seeks her out while her mother Marilyn is informed that Olivia's VPE has been confirmed.—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- Over There
Fauxlivia gets blood drawn with her mom to test for a genetic disease her sister carried. Her odds are 80 percent she'll be a carrier, in which case there's an 80 percent chance the mother or baby won't survive pregnancy.
Fauxlivia has told her mom she got pregnant from a man she met in a bar while Frank was out of town. Her mom doesn't buy it. She tells her Lincoln isn't too happy about it either.
Fauxlivia's mom drops her off at her apartment. She feels like someone is watching her as she walks in the building. We see an Observer.
Lincoln calls and she tells him she feels like she's being watched. He says he's sending a security team over.
Fauxlivia goes inside her apartment and is zapped by two intruders.
At Fringe Division, Lincoln mocks Charlie for going on a date with "bug girl" -- Mona. Charlie thinks Lincoln has a thing for Fauxlivia.
Lincoln gets a call.
Brandon the Super Nerd tries to convince Walternate to experiment on children, but he refuses. Lincoln calls Walternate to tell him Fauxlivia has been kidnapped.
At Fringe, they activate the Echelon satellite tracking system to look for her.
Her kidnappers cart Fauxlivia in a van. The guy in the back with her prepares to do...something scientific to her.
The tracking system locates her and the Fringe team pulls up. But they find her tracking device in a vial on the street. They took out her tracker.
At their destination, a team of people in scrubs gently straps Fauxlivia down on a gurney. They prepare to inject her with something.
One of the doctors, a man with a scar on his eyebrow, says the inhibitory process has been disrupted. He injects her belly with a giant syringe. They give her a pill to knock her out. She seems to go back to sleep.
They won't tell her what they're doing. They leave her with a machine focused on her belly. She sees a projection of her baby.
Back at Fringe, Lincoln says the trackers are classified so the only way someone could have known to look for Fauxlivia's was if they had inside info.
Lincoln sets Astrid looking for people with access to the info.
But first she shows him security footage from Fauxlivia's building which shows the same commercial vehicle going by her building six times in one week. It's registered to a livery service.
Cut to Henry the taxi driver being swarmed by Lincoln and Charlie. They ask about Fauxlivia. He says he was worried about her. They realize he was the cab driver who helped her get away. He says he didn't expect she'd come "back here."
Fauxlivia wakes up on her gurney. The doctor wants to give her a lot of anesthetic but the nurse seems to balk. They say her baby is doing well. It's a "he."
The doctor says everything is ready. The nurse gives her her pill. She fakes swallowing it.
Henry tells Charlie and Lincoln that people were trying to convince her she was someone she wasn't. He tells them about Peter.
He ran into her on the street, but she acted like she didn't know him. He got worried.
"When you start hearing things about some other universe, it's hard to ignore," he says.
That's enough for Lincoln and Charlie. They think he knows too much to be lying. Lincoln remembers after Olivia came back from her "breakdown" (and was really our Olivia) and Charlie wondered if they'd been switched. He wonders if that's what happened.
The doctor calls Faulixiva's mom Marilyn -- she hasn't been able to reach her with the test results. Olivia is a carrier for the disease.
Back in the makeshift hospital room, the nurse turns off the machine on Fauxlivia. She wakes up and reaches for the tray of surgical implements. She grabs a scalpel and starts working on her restraints. All of a sudden she screams in pain. We pull back and see something writhing in her growing belly -- 'Alien' style.
Lincoln briefs Walternate on what Henry said and asks if Fauxlivia was swapped. Walternate says she was. He tells Lincoln that Fauxlivia is carrying his grandchild. He promises Lincoln all the resources he needs.
Fauxlivia is wheeled out on her gurney and she's significantly more pregnant than she was. She's in a warehouse.
They put Fauxlivia in some sort of stretching machine. The nurse is worried they're going too fast, but the doctor says they're going forward.
Fauxlivia continues to pretend to be asleep.
Later, she tries to go to the bathroom. She's awake and sitting on a toilet while the nurse waits. She tells the nurse she probably has VPE. She tells the nurse if she doesn't make them stop they're going to end up killing her and the baby. She pleads with the nurse to leave her alone for a minute to give her a chance to escape.
The nurse checks her watch and says coldly that they're starting the next phase in 22 minutes.
Lincoln and Charlie tell Astrid to run a search on employees factoring in that she was carrying Walternate's grandchild.
Fauxlivia's mom arrives and Charlie tells her about the kidnapping. She tells him Olivia can't have the baby.
Back in the warehouse, the nurse walks Fauxlivia back to the gurney. Fauxlivia sees the scalpel on the floor. She whacks the nurse and holds the scalpel to her neck. The nurse punches a code to let her out.
Fauxlivia ends up barefoot in a hospital gown in what looks like the back alleys of Chinatown.
She tries to get a woman to let her into a closed restaurant, but she collapses with contractions.
She sees a phone booth across the street and stumbles to it.
Lincoln takes Henry to the elevator. He gets a call from Fauxlivia. She tries to tell him where she is -- she sees a noodle shop. She tells him they accelerated the pregnancy and to talk to her mom.
Fauxlivia sees the doctor coming for her down the street.
Lincoln calls for a trace. Henry volunteers a shortcut to get there.
Fauxlivia stumbles to a group of people coming out of a restaurant.
With Lincoln on the way, Charlie tells him what Marilyn said.
Lincoln and Henry reach her. Henry introduces himself and volunteers that he delivered his daughter in the back of his cab. He offers to help until paramedics get there. The baby is coming. They go into a shop
Lincoln holds onto Fauxlivia as she bares down. He doesn't answer when she asks if he talked to her mom. Henry tells her to push as Lincoln cradles her. He tells her he loves her. Fauxlivia asks Lincoln to promise he'll save the baby.
The baby comes out OK. Fauxlivia goes limp.
Lincoln's sobbing and the baby's crying when Fauxlivia opens her eyes. She and the baby are both OK. The crowd of people looking through the restaurant window applaud. The ambulance pulls up.
We see the nurse has been watching. She walks away.
At the hospital, Charlie and Lincoln run into Walternate. They found the warehouse where she was taken. Walternate wants her under constant surveillance.
Up in her room, Fauxlivia holds her son. She tells her mom they think the acceleration is what saved her -- the virus couldn't replicate as fast.
Lincoln and Charlie pour over the fact they were working with an imposter. They wonder if it relates to Broyles' disappearance.
A nurse comes to take the baby and Marilyn follows. They draw blood for lab tests -- and hand it off to the "doctor" who accelerated her pregnancy. He's an orderly. He hands the blood test to someone.
Next, we see the Observer. He calls someone and tells them: "It is happening."
Walternate watches Fauxlivia through her hospital room window. Brandon asks why he told Lincoln so much. He says because he didn't want Lincoln to get suspicious and start digging - plus he counted on Brandon not to fail. Brandon says they didn't -- and hands Walternate the blood test.
Walternate beams at his grandson, with a mixture of pride and general creepiness.
