In this documentary short, Frank Capra, Jr. discusses the real-life San Francisco banker on which 'American Madness' (1932) was based, as well as the various innovations his father employed to make the film more dynamic (overlapping dialogue, sped-up acting style, lack of dissolves, etc.). Columbia University film scholar Richard Peña and curator of the Capra Archives at Wesleyan University Jeanine Basinger also contribute.
