- TriviaArchived newspapers reviewing this program report that Red gave a dissertation on recordings, tried his hand at singing, and got 'drunk.' On the day this show was telecast, a lengthy article about Red penned by Hollywood entertainer writer Bob Thomas appeared across the country. Red explained how unhappy he had been his second year (last season) at NBC-TV due to the treatment of his program. Red claimed that, if the filmed shows ran a bit too long, the episode was trimmed in a butchering manner, with no thought about the sequence or logic. He said his health suffered due to the worry and that he did not watch his show after the first five programs. He claims to be much healthier and happier now that the series has moved to CBS-TV.
