- Special Agent G. Callen: [Seeing a box with his name on it] See if they've got one on you, or Hetty.
- Special Agent Sam Hanna: [Long pause as Sam searches] Nothing on me. *Two* boxes on Hetty.
- Henrietta 'Hetty' Lange: [after sharpening her pencil] I much prefer a good HB to a bic. Press firmly enough and people don't have to read between the lines to get the message... The answer is "no", Mr. Callen.
- Special Agent G. Callen: Hetty, you don't even know what the question is.
- Henrietta 'Hetty' Lange: It's no to all of them. Is there any mention of this in your classified file? No. Was I aware you had a relative? No. Am I surprised? No. Should you stay on the case?... *Definitely*, no.
- Special Agent G. Callen: [Callen enters a suspects house and finds someone] Put your hands where I can see them. Federal agent. You alone?
- Trent Kort: [Entering from behind Callen] No, as a matter of fact, he's not, Special Agent G Callen.
- Special Agent G. Callen: Kort.
- Trent Kort: You know you're not missing everything. No one ever calls me by my first name.
- Special Agent G. Callen: 'Cause no one likes you.
- Henrietta 'Hetty' Lange: I'd send you home, but I know that would just move you from that chair onto that sofa.
- Special Agent G. Callen: I'm still looking for a place.
- Henrietta 'Hetty' Lange: The agent's name is Trent Kort... Sam, Kensi, boathouse in half an hour.
- [Hetty leaves]
- Special Agent Sam Hanna: [to Callen] She knows. You can't go.
- [Callen sighs, then starts to leave]
- Special Agent Sam Hanna: Where you goin?
- Special Agent G. Callen: Shoot someone.
- Trent Kort: I'm rather fond of Los Angeles. Maybe I'll put in for a transfer.
- [Starts to leave]
- Special Agent Sam Hanna: I hope not.
- Amy Taylor: So, what's going to happen when he finds out the place was demolished 15 years ago?
- Special Agent Sam Hanna: I'm not going to hang around to find out.
- Special Agent Kensi Blye: Me neither.
- Nate Getz: This first address. That was the first address he was sent to. He was 5 years old. I really can't understand why they would separate him from his sister. Each address is entered chronologically, all by the same person.
- Henrietta 'Hetty' Lange: Why is that surprising?
- Nate Getz: It's an aging hand, Hetty. Different pens, different pencils. These addresses weren't all added at the same time, but as they happened. Every time Callen moved, the same person wrote down the new address.
- Henrietta 'Hetty' Lange: You're saying someone - someone was watching Callen all those years?
- Nate Getz: The same person.
- Nate Getz: [Callen hands Nate a notebook] Shouldn't this been in the evidence locker? Aren't we breaking the, uh, chain of evidence or...?
- [Realizes why Callen handed him the book and laughs]
- Nate Getz: You're off the case, but you need to know the - Could I go to jail?
- Special Agent G. Callen: Have you done something wrong?
- Nate Getz: I think I'm about to. - I could do some handwriting analysis.
- Amy Taylor: Who - who are you?
- Special Agent G. Callen: I'm the one who called. I'm the Federal Agent. My name is Callen. Who are you?
- Amy Taylor: I'm your sister.
- Special Agent G. Callen: [Slight pause, then angrily] I don't have a sister! Now who the Hell are you?
- Amy Taylor: [to Callen about his sister] She loved you so much. You know, she cried herself to sleep every night because she couldn't be with you.
- Special Agent G. Callen: What'd she call me?
- Amy Taylor: Baby brother.
- Special Agent G. Callen: No. I - I mean...
- Amy Taylor: Just "baby brother."
- Henrietta 'Hetty' Lange: Oh I know my family, Mr. Callen. Believe me when I say, sometimes I envy you *not* knowing yours.
- Special Agent G. Callen: This is the second time you've taken me off the Keelson case.
- Henrietta 'Hetty' Lange: Let's make it the last.
- Special Agent G. Callen: Should I read something between the lines?
