Ambitious and Visually Stunning
krazyk4730 October 2018
Its a shame this film never got a theatrical release because it is a dark film shot in 2.35 Anamorphic, and invariably suffers from viewing on a small screen. The cinematography, production design, sound design and score are all top notch. The acting is the weak link because basically the entire budget is spent on screen and all of the actors are relative newcomers with no credits to speak of. This is forgivable given that its an Indy film made on a shoestring budget, but it feels like it could have been a much better film if it had spent a bit more time marinating and the characters were more fleshed out. The best parts of the film are the atmospheric bits where no one is talking, which is a good proportion given that about half the film consists of long dolly shots of Julia Voth walking through the urban decay of post industrial Cleveland.
