Not as good as the last episode but better than most of the recent ones. There seems to be some much needed development of the key plot lines.Alf tells Martha a few home truths regarding the danger they're all in, although the solution that she and Hugo have come up with him seems to have a few flaws in it that no-one's ready to point out.Liam seems to be under the impression that Martha broke up with him rather than the other way round as well.
Irene's tirade against Jill seems to have been a failure for most of the episode although this results in a nice scene between Liam and Romeo which curiously fails to mention Liam's own addiction. In the end, it's Miles who brilliantly cuts through Jill's self-pity and gives her a chance at pulling herself together.
Providing a bit of light relief is Leah ignoring Irene's advice and inviting the four horsemen of the apocalypse to come and stay with her and Elijah. And Colleen continuing to act as though Alf and Marilyn are getting married, resulting in a nice triumphant look from Alf when everything blows up.
