So, with Martha and Hugo out of the way and everyone else having used up their episodes counts, it's back to fewer guns, more jokes and better characterisation.This episode is a little gem, best summed up by the hilarious scene of Romeo and Ruby alternately asking Nicole for advice in class until Miles throws some chalk at her.In the end Nicole's attempt to help Ruby out by throwing Liam off the scent fails miserably and he ends up in the know.Whether his decision to try and work through Ruby's crush will come back to bite him remains to be seen.
Elsewhere, Jill and Marilyn seem to be on the verge of becoming the show's great new double act as Jill is left bewildered by her new housemate's offer to detox with her and goes for a juice with John instead.Colleen pops up and manages to be genuinely amusing instead of just irritating, as well as being nicer to Marilyn than she has been of late.The only really duff note belongs to Romeo, whose naive confidence in Jill fails to raise much interest.
