Sex & Nudity

  • Occasional non-sexualised female breast and full frontal nudity in works of art. There is also a possible allusion to sexual violence when Lynch tells a childhood anecdote about encountering a crying, naked woman in the street. There is no graphic detail.

Violence & Gore

  • Some of Lynch's paintings are violent, for example one depicting a creature bursting out of a man's bloody chest.

Profanity

  • There is occasional use of strong language ('f**k', 'motherf**ker'). Milder terms include 'shit' and 'screw'.
