There is an Easter egg on the BluRay Disc: Go to the main menu, select "Bonus Features," highlight "Alexander...in Real Life," then press the right arrow on your remote to make a kangaroo appear. Select the kangaroo, and it will play an animation of the story "Who's Ready to Take a Dump on the Potty?" narrated by Dick Van Dyke.
The crocodile at Alexander's birthday party is very obviously an alligator due to the fact that alligators are far less hostile than crocodiles, and, therefore, far less dangerous on set to handlers, cast, and crew.
