The director used a lot of close ups of the wonderful faces of the excellent actors. That was something unusual these days but very effective. The actors carried it. Freezing Embrace has an interesting mystery and keeps us wondering about the strange young policeman and his problems. His way of being blank and unresponsive creates dramatic tension. I was not satisfied with the motivation of the killer. It seemed unprobabable. I think we should have know more about him, or suspected things about him before the last episode. And I was surprised they couldn't track the reason for the killings back to the early traumatic event that starts the series. I will be looking for season 2 as the characters are excellent and the romantic relationships believeable.
