The horror video game John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando is headed our way in 2024, and Bloody Disgusting has learned this week that a prequel comic is also on the way.
Dark Horse Comics partners with Saber Interactive to present John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando: Rise of the Sludge God, a comic prequel to the upcoming game developed by Saber Interactive and published by Focus Entertainment, John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando.
Written by Michael Moreci and featuring artwork by Alberto J. Albuquerque with letterer Nate Piekos, Rise of the Sludge God is set to begin in March 2024.
The comic miniseries presents the terror of a professional crew up against an unstoppable force in Alien combined with a healthy dose of the suspense-filled action of The Thing, peppered with zombified monsters and one gruesome god. Interior artist Albuquerque also creates the wild cover art.

“There she is!,” Maya Rudolph practically squealed with glee when Tiffany Haddish began to break it down at the 2018 Academy Awards in March. Outside of Frances McDormand’s impassioned “inclusion rider” speech, it was the highlight of the night, prompting many to imagine a Rudolph/Haddish buddy comedy, not the least of which included Paul Thomas Anderson. “That’s a combustible combination, the two of them,” Anderson told the L.A. Times at the time, confirming he and Haddish had been talking about working together. “That’s what you dream of as a director.”
“I haven’t talked to him in a while, I’ve been busy,” Haddish told IndieWire when asked about the status of the Anderson project. “I’m going to call him tonight. Just because you said that, I’m going to call him right when we finish.”
She needs to make that call; we need her to make that call.

“Some years I’m the coolest thing that ever happened, and then the next year everyone’s so over me,” Cher told Rolling Stone in 1999. She had just released “Believe,” which set the record for longest gap between Number Ones on Billboard’s Hot 100, a milestone that stands to this day. She joins many other big names — from the Beach Boys to Aretha Franklin and Meat Loaf — on our list of artists who mixed up a cocktail of fortitude, talent and luck to fight their way back onto the charts...

When last we tuned into The Flash, the Mystery Girl we had been glimpsing all season long introduced herself as Barry and Iris’ grown daughter, Nora. But will Team Flash believe the lass’ claim?
In a word or two, ultimately yes. “We’re pretty gullible,” Candice Patton shared during the cast’s visit to TVLine’s San Diego Comic-Con suite. But the acceptance of Nora’s identity won’t be instant. As leading man Grant Gustin noted, “We have been tricked at the beginning of every season!”

TVLine hits rewind on the TV season’s biggest “What Happens Next?” finales, then invites you to predict the cliffhanger outcomes.
The Flash may have double-secret officially confirmed Mystery Girl’s well-speculated identity at the close of the Season 4 finale, but that has only spawned more questions.
As many theorized, the young woman (played by new series regular Jessica Parker Kennedy) who flitted in and out of a handful of scenes over the course of the season is indeed Barry and Iris’ yet-to-be-conceived daughter, Nora, visiting us from the future. (Before making the trip, it appears she borrowed a memorable jacket from Mom!

As the West-Allen family continues growing in the strangest of ways, it shouldn’t have come as a shock to any when Jessica Parker Kennedy was announced as being the latest to sign on as a series regular, thus assuring that we’ll be seeing much, much more of Nora, Barry and Iris’ daughter from the future, in The Flash‘s fifth season.
Originally having been introduced during last fall’s crossover event, Crisis on Earth-x, Nora confounded viewers and press alike, reappearing at various points throughout the season. Being dubbed “the Mystery Girl,” she eventually revealed her true identity in season 4’s finale – and that, much like her father, she apparently enjoys the pastime that is screwing with the timeline.
Given all this, it stands to reason that, at some point, Barry and Iris will put on some Marvin Gaye and do what mommies and daddies do when they...

Legends of Tomorrow is staying Darhk. The CW drama has promoted Courtney Ford, who in Season 3 recurred as Damien Darhk’s daughter Nora, to series regular for Season 4, our sister site Deadline reports.
After originally appearing as a child on Arrow, Nora resurfaced on Legends as a magic-wielding adult (played by Ford) and teamed up with her time-displaced, late dad to release the demon Mallus. In last April’s season ender, Damien sacrificed himself to save Nora, who escaped to Salvation with Ray Palmer (Ford’s real-life husband Brandon Routh).

The Flash season 4 ended on another of The CW show’s patented season finale shockers. This time, it was revealed that Jessica Parker Kennedy’s Mystery Girl, who’d popped up several times throughout the run, was actually Nora Allen – Barry and Iris’ daughter from the future. We were left with the pair’s bewildered reaction and Nora’s warning that she had made a big mistake in coming back, suggesting she’d caused some issues in the timeline.
It’s shocking enough for a normal young couple to find out they’re about to have a kid, but that’s nothing compared to finding out your future daughter has traveled back in time to meet you. As one could imagine, then, Barry and Iris will have a hard time adjusting to this situation when The Flash returns in season 5.

Jessica Parker Kennedy, who recurred last season in The Flash, has been promoted to series regular for the upcoming Season 5 of the CW superhero drama.
Kennedy plays Nora West-Allen, Barry and Iris’ future daughter. She was introduced last season as the Mystery Girl, and her identity was revealed in the finale. She joins recently promoted Danielle Nicolet (Cecile) and Hartley Sawyer (Ralph), who also will return as series regulars for the upcoming season.
Kennedy first appeared as the character in November in the multi-show crossover event, when she covertly approached groom-to-be Barry at his and Iris’ ill-fated church wedding. She then resurfaced occasionally throughout the season, dropping clues as to Mystery Girl’s identity.
Based on the DC characters, The Flash is executive produced by Greg Berlanti, showrunner Todd Helbing and Sarah Schechter. The series is produced by Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros Television.

Rest assured, The Flash‘s Barry and Iris will have plenty of time to get to know their speedster daughter-from-the-future.
Jessica Parker Kennedy will be a series regular for Season 5 of the CW hit, TVLine has learned, after making a handful of scattered-yet-provocative appearances during Season 4 — all leading to the finale reveal that her Mystery Girl is WestAllen’s offspring Nora.
Earlier this month, it was announced that The Flash had promoted both Danielle Nicolet and Hartley Sawyer to series regulars for the coming season, as Cecile and Ralph.

When it comes to The Flash, we normally speculate on the identity of the main villain for much of a given season, but the latest run was pretty straightforward in that regard since Clifford DeVoe was obviously the Thinker. However, the “Mystery Girl” left pretty much everybody scratching their heads since her initial appearance in last fall’s “Crisis on Earth-x” crossover.
Thankfully, we were all able to sleep easier at night once the season finale confirmed that she is, in fact, Nora, the daughter of Barry Allen and Iris West from the future. What’s more is that she’s a speedster herself and will play a big role in season 5.
So, if indeed Jessica Parker Kennedy’s character sees a lot of action in the coming year, then it stands to reason she could find herself participating in the next big crossover that’s set to introduce Batwoman.

Though the second cliffhanger that would’ve teased season 5’s big bad was unfortunately cut for time, Tuesday’s season finale of The Flash was at least able to satisfy viewers by revealing the true identity of the Mystery Girl. As it turned out, she’s actually Barry and Iris’ daughter, Nora Allen, from the future. Needless to say, a revelation such as this helped boost ratings.
When recently sitting down with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer and showrunner Todd Helbing discussed the big reveal and more specifically, how things may get awkward with having Nora around:
“If you can imagine having one of your children showing up who’s already an adult, who’s around the same age as you, it’s gonna be a little weird for them.”
Now, what makes the situation a little iffier is that Barry and Iris have been married for less than a year,...

Normally, when we spend months upon months pondering the identity of somebody on The Flash, it’s usually the villain. But this time around, we had a more direct big bad to contend with in the form of Clifford DeVoe, so the producers decided to let speculation swirl around the Mystery Girl first introduced in last fall’s Crisis on Earth-x crossover event.
Like many of you, we theorized that she’d be revealed as the future self of Barry and Iris’ daughter, but we kept our options open. Really, in the case of a sci-fi show such as this, we couldn’t discount the possibility of her being Joe and Cecile’s daughter, or even another iteration of the Reverse-Flash!
In fact, Joe and Cecile’s baby girl, Jenna, was finally birthed, but the arrival of the Mystery Girl soon afterward answered our questions (for now).

As I began writing this, it dawned on me that it’s kind of funny how we’ve universally referred to Jessica Parker Kennedy’s character on The Flash as “the Mystery Girl.” Then again, we’ve been given no confirmation as to whom she may actually be since she first showed up during last fall’s Crisis on Earth-x crossover, so it’s pretty understandable that we do so.
Given that Kennedy is said to play a big part next season though, it’s expected that we be provided some answers as the current run speeds toward its conclusion. In fact, several clues concerning the Mystery Girl’s identity were dropped near the end of last night’s episode, “Therefore She Is.”
First, it should be mentioned that she happened to show up at Joe and Cecille’s baby shower bearing gifts, immediately placing suspicions into my mind that...

The Flash season 4 has had a perplexing mystery going on in the background: what’s the identity of Jessica Parker Kennedy’s character who keeps turning up? The young woman appears to know more about Barry Allen and his friends than she lets on, after first giving the Scarlet Speedster some advice at his wedding to Iris West in last year’s “Crisis on Earth-x” crossover.
We’ve been promised that the reveal of the so-called Mystery Girl’s identity will happen very soon and what’s more, once we know the truth that definitely won’t be it for the character, as she’ll apparently go on to have a major role in season 5, which was recently commissioned. Here’s what showrunner Todd Helbing told TV Line:
“Everyone will get an answer to who exactly The Mystery Girl is, and how she plays into not only this season but next season.

Since her appearance in the "Crisis on Earth-x" crossover, the Mystery Girl, played by Jessica Parker Kennedy, has been one of season 4's strangest conundrum with many fans assuming she has to be Iris and Barry's daughter (or granddaughter) from the future. Yet according to one executive producer no one has yet figured out the mystery between the Mystery Girl.
