Strange Watch for What Is Viewed as Peculiar

And that would be the Creeplies.

When Mrs. Creeply pays a visit and then Pebble's present to her mother, Wilma, disappears, Pebbles thinks Mrs. Creeply took it, not knowing that one of the prehistoric pets took the present and buried it in the backyard.

So Pebbles volunteers herself and the gang to babysit the Creeplies kid, Gobby, I believe, so they can search the house.

Not as memorable as Flintstones episodes that encountered the Creeplies, but it doesn't stop there.

The Creeplies go to a party (on a yacht no less) so Pebbles and company in Halloween type disguises (mainly fake noses) crash the party to continue the search for the present.

What would they do if they found the present? But that's irrelevant really.

So Bamm Bamm's disguise, by chance, is exactly like a peeping tom who is terrorizing the neighborhood and he is seen by a snooty lady (voiced by Jean Vander Pyl) and that brings the police into the fray.

Now Fred and Barney likewise venture to the party to see what the kids are doing.

This was the moment that always crystallized this episode for me. Bamm Bamm and Moonrock, the brainy kid, suddenly put 'disguises' on Fred and Barney to make them 'look weird'.

Fred got a flower pot (upright and still with the flower in it) on his head and Barney got a coiled up rope on his head. Yea, that did it.

But then we get the little Creeply oddity walking by; a little green man, still looking Bedrockian, singing "scoot, scoot, scoobidy scoot" So this is peculiar? The show's attempts to declare what is odd, unnatural or unaccepted is what was truly bizarre, but in rewatching, Pebbles need to venture on to the party after searching the Creeply's house is even more peculiar.

You can't help but wonder if after a while, Mrs. Creeply would finally declare "no, it is not alright that you so easily suspected me of some wrongdoing, yet AGAIN! Why do you keep doing this? It needs to stop!"
