Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is adding yet another reality series to his already full roster. Ramsay is heading to Bravo for America's Best Restaurant.
The new show is actually based on Ramsay's UK series, Ramsay's Best Restaurant. The show basically puts restaurants in competition against each other to win the "best restaurant" title.
"Sixteen of the nation's best restaurants, representing all variety of cuisines, will compete against each other on their own turf to find out who truly provides the best all-around, top-to-bottom restaurant experience and deserves to be crowned as America's Best Restaurant," a statement from the show reads.
Ramsay will serve as executive producer for the show, but it is still unclear of he will appear on screen as well. ...

Bravo's original programming is getting a boost with the greenlight of 17 new unscripted series, renewal of 18 ongoing unscripted shows and announcement of six more shows in development.
Several of the new series were previously announced -- including "Real Housewives of Atlanta" spinoff "The Kandi Factory," which stars Kandi Burruss and premieres next week (April 9), and "Most Eligible Dallas" spinoff "Courtney Loves Dallas" starring Courtney Kerr (airdate Tbd).
Additionally, Bravo added three unscripted projects to its development slate: Gordon Ramsay's competition series "America's Best Restaurant" modeled after his U.K. series "Ramsay's Best Restaurant"; "Rich People's Problems," another "Atlanta" spinoff starring Phaedra Parks and focused on quirky legal cases; and "Ivy League Confidential" following four elite college admissions consultants in New York and Los Angeles.
Bravo also continues to work on scripted programming (the network's scripted pilot "Rita," starring Anna Gunn of "Breaking Bad," is in production and could go...

Saturday is Christmas so I hope everyone out there at least has an idea of what they're doing for the holidays since the chances to get it done are rapidly disappearing. Most websites have helpful guides up to when you need to order things to get them in time for Christmas, but at this point it seems a far better idea to go with gift certificates or donations to charity, since the stores are probably unforgiving hellholes. With that cheerful thought, here's your Tuesday night TV:
8:00pm: "Minute to Win It" on NBC
"Modern Marvels" on History
"Skating With the Stars" on ABC. First season finale. A lot of you know that I'm a huge Johnny Weir fan and he's been talking about this show a lot on his Twitter but I just can't do it. Sorry, Johnny, it's not you, it's the other awful "celebrities".

Because I am given to a somewhat introspective and thoughtful nature (which some individuals refer to as "thinking too much") I occasionally become fixated on things other people don't notice. Lately, it's been the fact that on both the pop-r&B/hip hop station and the "80's, 90's, and today!" station here in Miami, the most frequent commercials are for plastic surgery centers or attorney referral services. On the surface, these two would seem to be unrelated but if you look a little deeper... ok, they're still mostly unrelated, but I'm still trying to figure out what cross section of the population has the money to be shopping around for a nose job and boob lift, but still needs to have the number for lawyers specializing in what amounts to ambulance chasing on speed dial. On that completely unrelated note, here's your Tuesday night TV:

Glee - Fox, 8 - Artie discovers that Brittany still believes in Santa. And that I still can't believe people watch this show.

It's that time of year again, and while many of your favorite shows are headed into holiday hiatuses, there's still plenty of good television to catch as winter settles in. 'Robot Chicken' offers up its third 'Star Wars' send-up, while 'The Hasselhoffs' takes us perhaps closer than any of us want into the life of David Hasselhoff and his family (Please no more cheeseburgers).
On top of the usual suspects of holiday specials, this year we're treated to holiday-themed sci-fi specials for 'Eureka,' 'Warehouse 13' and 'Doctor Who.' Gordon Ramsay has two holiday specials, the season finale of 'Hell's Kitchen' and the premiere of yet another new series, 'Ramsay's Best Restaurant' this month, in case you were concerned he wouldn't continue to be all over television.
