The opening scene shows Avery, Emma and Tracy on their latest antiquing trip together, this time in Maine. Where they are actually walking is an area in Victoria, British Columbia referred to as "Antique Row," a collection of independent antique and/or curio shops. It is located on Fort Street, between Blanshard and Cook Streets.
The scene when Nick, standing in front of Tesoro Mio, telephones Tracy right after her meeting with Narula at his office which didn't happen, is somewhat ironic as, in real life, the exteriors used for Narula's office building and Tesoro Mio are right next door to each other in Victoria, British Columbia, 1515 Douglas St and 1501 Douglas St, respectively. The sidewalk paving of the shots of Tracy and the shots of Nick are the same, literally meaning their filming locales would be within steps of each other.
Tracy states that her place is 10 blocks from where she works, the auction house. In reality, the filming locales in Victoria, British Columbia of her condo building and the auction house are also not that far apart, approximately six blocks.
Paolo Bernardini as Paolo Di Stefano is the only one of the three 'husbands,' i.e. eventual spouse of one of the three central characters in the movie series, that does not appear, although his character is mentioned.
