Losing its focus
jeffreylwatson-4422425 February 2022
The show seems to be losing its focus. As other reviewers have said this is Superman and Lois. I'm not interested in what is going on with the Cushings... unless it ties into the Bizarro storyline. If it does then they need to start showing that. Otherwise that story line is just window dressing. The Chrissy storyline is finally starting to payoff, so I'm now, after this ep, okay with that. But the tension between her and Lois is becoming tedious. I will still watch the show and hope it improves. AND we better not have another damn hiatus. Not everyone watches poor coverage of a sporting event.

Superman as guest star in a soap opera....
sumtim3s00n23 February 2022
First season was a quality show, justifiably/eponymously called Superman & Lois with various other relationships peppered throughout the storyline and all nicely balanced.

This season... nothing but rambling, feelings, emotions, relationships, soap opera with occassional Superman stuff so that we dont forget its actually (supposedly) a Superman (&Lois) show.

Nothing against quality dialogues/monologues, actually some of the best Star Trek episodes for example, had barely any action only talking, but still held our interest fiercly.

This is NOT that. This is drama for drama's sake and forced emotional turmoil. All boring as heck, nothing original or interesting for fans to watch.

Turned upside down as it seems most shows have nowadays. Gone from a nice, FINALLY a decent Superman show to a cliche, stereotypical wokefest of emotions and feelings.

From a 7 or 8 to a barely 5 or 4 out of 10. This one not that even, since Superman actually was Superman for maybe 1 or 2 minutes out of the entirety of the episode, all else was dull, annoying nonsense.

Going down down down the drain...

Girl... You'll Be a Woman, Soon

The episode starts with a flashback concerning a young Ally Allston and a pendant she inherits.

It all leads to her actually being the big bad for the season. The pendant gives Ally Allston access to other worlds and realities.

This is where Bizarro has emerged from. He recognises the threat Allston brings.

Before that, the highlight of the episode is the fight scenes between Superman and Bizarro.

The secondary story is Jonathan's powers that might be manifesting after taking X-Kryptonite. This leads to renewed sibling rivalry as General Lane wants to train Jordan secretly so he can one day help out his father.

You might think that the General would be curious as to Jonathan's powers.

I have found this to be a consistent season. Nothing here that soars but I do think that another person from a different dimension looks like a retread of the first season with John Henry Irons.

Start calling it Lois, Chrissy, Lana, Kyle, Superboys ft. Superman

Season 2 is getting on my nerves now. Someone needs to take over the creative control. Its all about the supporting characters and least about Superman. I am not interested in whatever Kyle and Lana are upto. Neither Chrissy's detective skills. Every episode are slow and full of conversations and only 3-5 mins of visually stunning fight scenes. This episode also follows the same structure of only 3mins of Superman vs Bizzaro.

I know this is a tv series and doesn't have a movie like budget but atleast make it engaging. Arrow was engaging, Flash was engaging till season 2, even Legends was fun till season 4, but not this one. Please make it about Superman. Trust on your lead actor and give him some dialogues. Give us Superman mythos which no movie touched.

A Dull Affair

I am not watching this snoozefest anymore. Anything barely happens anymore and if we are lucky Superman is sometimes involved.

Just lots of melodrama more fit for Jerry Springer.

This used to be a good show.
