"Maybe I should just swear off romance forever"
skteosk16 December 2010
Warning: Spoilers
A somewhat hollow episode. The constant toing and froing over who's going to the made up African country and why fails to grab the interest, with only the scene between Miles and Robertson, where they actually have a conversation instead of just exchanging poisoned barbs, really standing out.By the end of it, Miles is going and Leah is staying. Whilst it's a relief that we're not going to lose Leah again straightaway, Miles' absence will be keenly felt, given the mess Alf's been making of keeping an eye on Nicole lately.

The Alex storyline limps to a very unsatisfactory conclusion. The opening few scenes, with Indigo and Dexter's Greek chorus on his showdown with Nicole and his harsh but fairly accurate summation of Ruby's character, are great. But then we have Charlie and Ruby talking about how brilliant the latter is and Charlie risking a corruption charge yet again by abusing her position and blackmailing Alex. From then on in, the episode's all over the place, as Angelo and Ruby take Charlie to task for her actions and then rabbit on about how cool they were and then Charlie tells Ruby that Alex was right after all, or maybe not, she doesn't seem to be able to decide.Frankly it's hard to tell what message the episode is trying to convey here. It's all right to jump from boyfriend to boyfriend if your mum will beat up anyone who has a go about it?
