- Alice goes up to Marquis' office, knocking out the guards as she goes. Once they're unconscious, she searches the place and finds the buzzer. Marquis' assistant comes in and says who Alice is, and Alice says that she was Alice and applies the buzzer to her temple.
Later, Alice wakes up at the clinic. Mary is sitting next to her, and tells Alice that the Bat Team heard about Alice's break in, went there and found her unconscious, and got her out ahead the GCPD. Alice says that she feels like Beth again, cries in relief, and hugs Mary.
Weeks later, a psychological board gathers to assess Alice's psychological condition, and discuss Beth's dissociation and how Beth's brain rewired herself after the jolt from the buzzer. The board determines that Beth is no longer insane, and as the police escort Beth out, Ryan confronts her that even though the court of public opinion may have changed their mind about Beth, that doesn't change who she is. Beth gives Ryan the buzzer and says that maybe Luke can figure out a way to make it work again, but Ryan refuses and tells Beth that it's dead and she's won.
Later at the cemetery, Beth visits her tombstone and lays a rose on it. Ocean apparently appears and points out that he's dead because of Beth, and he thinks she doesn't deserve a happy ending. He collapses coughing, and Beth cradles him in his eye and says that she's sorry he died. Beth is in her subway train, crying and insisting that Ocean's death wasn't her fault. She realizes that she's been hallucinating and has reverted to her Alice person, and realizes she hallucinated the whole thing. She discovers that the scar cause by the buzzer isn't on her forehead. She screams at her reflection in the window, telling "Alice" to get away from her, and cries.
Batwoman confronts Marquis' new lawyer in a parking garage, and knows he's keeping Marquis' secrets.
The next morning, Sophie wakes up and discovers that Ryan isn't in the bed next to her. She sighs in satisfaction, and hears someone coming in to the apartment. It's Jada with coffee.
Mary wakes up to find Alice going through the drug cabinet in the clinic, and asks what she's doing. Alice asks for antipsychotics, and says that she's losing her mind. She asks for the buzzer, and Mary says that there's only one charge left and Ryan needs it for Marquis. Alice tells Mary that Mary needs it for her sister, and Mary tells Alice that a real sister would have stopped her from killing someone. Alice figures that Mary thinks it's her fault, and tells Mary that it was all her and she was there making no one got in her Mary. Mary tells her that she encouraged her, and now a wife and children are without the man she killed and her life is ruined. Alice sarcastically apologizes for Mary killing a man, and Mary tells Alice to get out.
At the apartment, Jada arrives with a vegan puff pastry flowers for Ryan, and tells Sophie that she and Ryan have family matters to discuss privately. Sophie points out that Jada doesn't have leverage on Marquis now that the evidence of him killing his father has been destroyed, and says that Ryan's life is complicated enough without Jada "playing mother" to her all of a sudden. Jada says that Marquis is the only one playing, and if they don't use the buzzer on him soon, he'll be on the loose in Gotham. Sophie says that if Jada had treated Marquis like a criminal instead of a son, they wouldn't be in their current situation.
Ryan comes in and Sophie complains to her that Sophie was there without Ryan warning Sophie. Jada joins them, and Ryan shows her mother Marquis' electronic calendar that she got from the lawyer. There's nothing on Marquis' schedule for the current day, even though he was booked solid the previous week. Sophie does find a meeting Marquis is having with the owner of an art gallery, Barbara Keene, and she's Jim Gordon's ex-wife, and Gordon and Barbara divorced after their son was found with body parts in his closet. Barbara's reputation never recovered, Jada quickly excuses herself, much to Ryan's surprise. Sophie goes after Jada, suspecting something.
On the street, Jada is calling someone else in the Black Glove Society, telling them about Marquis' involvement with Barbara and how it may involve all of them. As Jada hangs up, Sophie confronts her and asks what Barbara's connection is to the Society. Jada's ride pulls up, and before leaving in it, Jada tells Sophie know to tell Ryan.
Another driver pulls up and Sophie figures out the driver is there to pick up Jada. She figures the first driver was a kidnapper, and tells the second driver to call 911 and warns them that Jada has been kidnapped. She runs off after the car but discovers that it's gone.
Mary goes to the home of the murdered man's family and the son Noah answers the door. He calls his mother to the door, and Mary says that she has information pertaining to her husband's death. The mother, Samantha, invites Mary in.
Kiki is at her workshop working when Alice comes in. She hallucinates Mouse there, and Alice realizes that she's hallucinating as Mouse tells her that it's not over. Alice insists that he's not real, and Mouse tells her that Alice can't get an "undo switch". Alice tells Mouse to get out of her, and she tells Kiki that she shouldn't have thought she saw the last of her.
Sophie joins up with Luke and Ryan at the Hold Out, and he notices that Sophie is wearing the same clothes he last saw her in two days ago. Ryan passes it off, and Luke traces the kidnapper's car and determines that Wayne Enterprises purchased it two days ago. Sophie figures that Marquis is making his move and the Society is involved, and Ryan tells Sophie to come with her and explain it. Ryan tells Luke to trace the car.
Alice tells Kiki to make her a buzzer, and Kiki laughs and tells Alice that she is already working for Marquis. When Alice pus a knife to her throat, Kiki says that she's unimpressed. Marquis comes in and shoots Kiki dead, then takes a buzzer from Kiki's pocket. He tells Alice that Kiki was working on it for him, and asks Alice why she wants the buzzer. Alice admits that she wants to use it on herself and with the last charge gone, it can't be used on Marquis. He figures Alice doesn't want to be "cursed", and says that he's not going to lose one of the "legends" and sprays her with a nearby canister of laughing gas, knocking her out.
Alice wakes up on a balcony in a mausoleum, with the robed Society members. Marquis is there as well, having tied them to their chairs including Barbara. He greets each member by name, including Jada, and says it's the society's final ceremony. Marquis promises that they're all going to die, while Alice looks on smiling. Marquis knows Marla Elliott created the society cover up that her son Tommy had become Hush. He spins a wheel he set up, revealing canisters of gas, and knows that Barbara's on JJ had killed a dog. She hired some off-the-books doctor to use off-the-books medication to "fix" JJ, but reduced him to a drooling husk at Arkham.
Marquis puts a gas mask on Barbara and assures her he's going to use the same medication on her that she used on JJ. He turns it on and Barbara passes out as the other Society members watch. Mouse appears to Alice and figures revenge is what Alice thrives on. He says that Alice doesn't deserve the buzzer, and Alice tells Mouse that she knows she deserves the buzzer and his logic doesn't fit into her working narrative. Mouse points out that Alice poisoned him, her best friend, and she can't just walk on from there. Alice yells at Mouse to get away from him, falls, and hears a gunshot as Marquis shoots another society member.
Mary tells Samantha and Noah that she knows the killer, and they says that they also know. Samantha addresses Mary by name and says that Alice killed her husband, and the police informed them that the police came there and told them that Alice called them and took credit for the murder. Mary is shocked that Alice did that for her and plays along.
Batwoman and Sophie drive through Gotham in the Batmobile, and Ryan apologizes for covering up for the two of them together, from Luke. As they discuss hiding their relationship, Luke calls in and says that he traced the car on the edge of a cemetery.
Luke continues killing the Society members, and then advances on Jada. Jada tells Marquis to stop, saying he doesn't have to do it, and he has Mr. Freeze's freeze gun and tells his mother that he's going to use it on her. As he prepares to use the buzzer on Jada so she'll be frozen and insane, trapped with her thoughts, Alice tackles him and knocks the buzzer out of his hand. The two of them fight for it, and Marquis manages to knock Alice down and get the buzzer. He suggests they rule Gotham together, with Alice as the Harley to his Joker. Alice tells Marquis that he has it backwards, and they're nothing alike.
Marquis tells Alice that his second grade class was on a field trip. Joker intercepted his bus, shot the driver dead, and Marquis figured nobody else was going to do anything so he walked up to Joker, laughed, and said he was taking the kids to Amusement Mile and rain chemicals down on the city and make everyone look like him. Joker used the buzzer on Marquis and then drove the bus off, and Batman followed them. Joker ran the bus into a car ahead of them, knocking the Kane car onto the edge of the bridge and causing the accident.
Marquis says that it's fate, and two of them were "born" on the same day. He tells Jada that it's her birthday, and prepares to use the buzzer on her. Alice says that she can give Marquis something that will make Joker wish he was Marquis, and Marquis stops, intrigued.
Later, Alice goes out into the cemetery outside the mausoleum, with the buzzer in hand. Sophie confronts Alice, gun drawn, and tells her the buzzer isn't hers.
Batwoman enters the mausoleum and finds Jada. Jada tells her that Marquis just left, and she didn't tell Batwoman about the Society because she didn't want to risk losing her. Batwoman tells her biological mother to go, and Jada reluctantly does.
Sophie tells Alice to hand over the buzzer, and says that she's not recovering it for Jada, but to stop Marquis from wreaking hell on Gotham. Alice disarms Sophie and train her own gun on her, and starts to put the buzzer to her forehead. Batwing arrive and disarms Alice with a batarang, and Sophie tackles Alice and handcuffs her. Batwing picks up the buzzer, and Alice begs Sophie not to make her go back to Arkham.
Batwoman wakes up Barbara, who vomits. Marquis runs out and attack Batwoman, and tells her that she's just a coward hiding her face so people wouldn't know she's just a street rat whose mother didn't want her. Ryan removes her mask, and says that she doesn't feel sorry for him. She says that she was initially jealous of him, but then realizes that she had hope. Marquis says that he had hope and shoots her, and says that he was hoping her suit would protect her. He clubs her with the canister of freeze gas and says that he plans to freeze her with it, and Jada takes a gun from her purse and tells Marcus to stop. When he figures she won't kill her son, Jada says that he isn't her son anymore. Jada shoots the canister out of Marquis' hand when he doesn't stop, and he runs off as Jada goes to Ryan and says that she's not making the mistake of running from Ryan again. Mother and daughter hug.
Later, Jada is at her office, and Ryan tells her that they recovered the buzzer.
Sophie and Ryan meet at Ryan's apartment, and Sophie says that she's never been in a public relationship before, and wonders if she has the courage to be out but the person she's interested in doesn't want the same thing. Ryan tells Sophie that she's pretty sure Jordan loves her, and Sophie is right that she's was hiding from herself because every time she gets something good, she loses it. Sophie takes Ryan's hand and assures her she won't lose her, and they joke about meeting their mothers. Ryan kisses Sophie, cutting her off.
Luke and Mary come in and Luke says that he lost the trace on the car. Ryan refuses to let Marquis be captured by the police and go to Arkham, and asks for 24 hours to find Marquis before they take the buzzer from her. The duo agree and Mary notices that Sophie is wearing the same outfit as before, like Luke did earlier. Mary figures that the two of them are together, and explains what's happening to Luke. Ryan admits that they're officially a thing, and Mary cheer the good news. She tells Luke that they're leaving so Ryan and Sophie can be couply, hugs them, and leaves.
At Arkham, two orderlies who Alice imagines look like Mouse and Ocean toss Alice into a cell. They tell her that they're never going to leave her, and Mouse promises that they'll be there every second of every day to remind Alice of what she did to them. Alice begs them to go away and slaps them away, only to realize that they "are" Mary. Mary assures Alice that she's real, and Alice begs her half-sister to get her out of Arkham. Mary says that she came to thanks Alice for what she did by taking the blame, and it's more than anyone has ever done for her. Alice tells her that she's sorry, and Mary wonders what she did.
Marquis enters the Batcave following the instructions that Alice gave him and laughs triumphantly.
