Learn more- It's Tuesday night, which means it's time to boot another couple on "Dancing with the Stars." At stake are the coveted three spots in the final.
First, a look at the leader board as it stood at the end of Monday's episode:
Jennifer & Derek: 30 + 30 = 60
Kyle & Lacey: 29 + 29 = 58
Brandy & Maks: 27 + 30 = 57
Bristol & Mark: 27 + 26 = 53
Play it again...: Head judge Len Goodman asks for an encore performance from Brandy & Maks, who serve up another dose of the Argentine tango that landed them a perfect 30 on Monday.
Be our guest: Grammy and Academy Award winner Annie Lennox classed up the joint with a haunting performance of her song, "Universal Child." Lennox returns later to perform "Little Bird."
Later, Derek and Cheryl perform a retro-style routine that was voted on by fans throughout the season.
Enrique Iglesias caps the night's performances with "I Like It."
To the results: We burn a few minutes by having the stars tell us what an eye-opening journey this whole thing has been, and to remind us again how badly they want to win the competition. When that's over, Jennifer & Derek, the highest scorers Monday night, learn their fate. Hold your breath: They're safe.
Later, Kyle & Lacey learn that they are ... in the finals. That leaves Brandy & Maks and Bristol & Mark vying for the third and final spot.
Finally, down to the last two couples, it's the make-or-break moment. Len is asked what he thinks of the last two couples and says Brandy has impressed him every week. He says no one in the show's 11 seasons has "had such a journey" and that she's come a long way.
Brooke Burke reminds us they're "not necessarily the bottom two," but one of them certainly is the bottom one and will be going home. It's Brandy & Maks. The shock is pretty clear on most everyone's face.
Maks says he loves the fact that the show "represents the people's choice." Bruno says he's shocked because Brandy delivered a "fantastic performance" and stressed that viewers should vote. He says he was disappointed because he was so looking forward to seeing Brandy's freestyle, and he asks her to "please come back" and perform it anyway.
