For anyone who doesn't know why the turmoil exists between our countries, I suggest u watch this. It will make you think twice about what goes on in the world not just Iran. History it full of the same story. Explorers come to some poor indigent country. Find a valued resource and take it over. It's a shame that people here have no idea of how things have developed in the Middle East, American coup does a very good job of explaining of how Iran was taken over.

Lesson about the ghandian figure called mossadeque(surely wrongspelt), elected prime minister of persia/iran in the early 50's, overthrown and embedded with the help of cia, and shown under the rug of clandestine history. How would the world have become with a mr.m by the rudder?? Thats the clue of this cloak and dagger documentary story.
Its a terribel mess productionwise, with a murky sound quality, but its an important chapter of post ww2 history, and why things have become as they are in the middle east...its a recommend.

Everyone should watch and understand the history the Us has had with Iran. You can then understand why they are weary of the US and it's ally Israel in wanting to wage war against Iran.

America's strong foundations lies in its democracy and freedom but for the rest of the world esp the developing countries it was cogitable ... this is a short encapsulation of a dark chapter of history ... it explains how Iranians began to see the US as a colonial power rather than an ally and the deep-rooted hatred for America. Wished Eisenhower had not undone what Truman had done..Truman was against Imperialism.. was it the oil money for Churchill and Eisenhower?? As Sen Ron paul too said that we interfered with an elected govt ... if Americans don't know that their own govt did harm then it's detrimental

Iran is a country whose history has been stolen. The British and Americans are to blame for that, and we still have to sleep in the soiled bed that is this history. If people wonder why we are in the mess we are in, in a world where nothing can be truly trusted they should watch this and see the beginnings of it. The Tories and Republicans are to blame, as always... then and now.
This documentary is well detailed and the people interviewed are all erudite. What strikes me is those involved in this type of anti-democratic sleaze the Dulles's in particular acted like they are playing a game. They had not a scant concern for anybody else's suffering. They were psychopaths, and they took this sleaze onwards to be inflicted on more and more countries over the following decade.
It is no wonder that so many people regard US involvement in Ukraine with suspicion. The US cannot be trusted, and the more you look at how the US has treated Russia after the fall of USSR, you cannot take some simplistic and dualistic view of that crisis either.
On another note, this documentary is a bare bones journalistic and educational film, its not a work of art. The editing could afford to be tighter, and the overall length could have been reduced. But its a great way to get a good understanding of why Iran is where it is now.
