Tna Wrestling will induct referee Earl Hebner into their Hall of Fame on Saturday, October 3 in Salem, Virginia. It’s a show that won’t be televised, but Hebner is a Virginia native, so it’s a way to honour him in his home state.
The following night is Tna’s Bound For Glory PPV, so there’s a chance they may film some of it and show it during the broadcast.
Hebner commented on the honour in a press release issued by Tna:
““When I received the call from John Gaburick (Tna’s Executive Vice President of Television and Talent Relations) and he told me I am being inducted into the Tna Hall of Fame, I was stunned and my eyes welled up with tears. I’ve been working for 37 years for this incredible honor. It is rare for a referee in any sport to be recognized in this way,...

With Tna Wrestling’s biggest pay-per-view of the year less than two weeks away, the company has officially released the entire card for this year’s Bound for Glory. This year’s 10th annual edition of the PPV event will take place at the legendary Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan on October 12th. The show will be jointly produced along with Keiji Mutoh’s Wrestle-1 promotion.
Many fans had wondered when Tna would announce the match-ups for Bound for Glory as the event grew closer. Now, the company has officially announced the entire card for the PPV. Interestingly, only one championship will be on the line, and it’s not the Tna World title. Also, the card will unsurprisingly feature a handful of Tna versus Wrestle-1 contests.
The recently debuted Knockout, Havok, will compete against former Knockout Champion, Velvet Sky. The masked Manik will take on Wrestle-1’s Minoru Tanaka,...

We’re less than 3 weeks away from Tna’s biggest event of the year. And for those living under a rock, but still with enough internet access to read this article, Tna have made this years event even bigger than ever before by holding it in Tokyo. This is their first ever major Pay Per View to be held outside of North America (One Night Only doesn’t count) and the fact that they are working together with The Great Mutas Wrestle-1 promotion, means this is set to be Tna’s most intriguing event in years.
Now Tna has come under a lot of fire from fans and critics alike over the years. It’s no secret that there have been many, many stumbles over their 12 year journey but there’s really no need to get into what most of us are already too familiar with.

October 27th 2009 was a day that I imagine very few people saw coming. This was the day that Tna Wrestling, a company that has long been a very distant number two wrestling promotion who are very much in the background compared to the monolith that is WWE – announced they had signed The biggest professional wrestler in the business, Hulk Hogan.
Now of course Hogan was way beyond actually wrestling anything aside from maybe a very rare match with very few bumps taken, but his presence clearly would attract a whole new audience to the Tna product wouldn’t it? See Tna had been trying to raise awareness for their product for many years. Usually they seemed to try and accomplish this by trying to attract former WWE wrestlers and hoping they would help them get over the 1.0 ratings hump that they’d been stuck with seemingly forever. They tried with Christian,...

The eighth annual Tna Impact Wrestling No Surrender PPV rolls in to the Impact Zone tonight with a card stacked to prepare for Bound For Glory. A PPV with no world title match and a champion who isn’t in the main event shows just how important it is(n’t) to the guys in Florida. So why exactly should we care? Well there’s actually a few matches on the card with great potential – let’s just hope they manage to deliver after a relatively consistent run of great events in 2012.
So let’s have a look into our magic 8 ball and see how this one’s going to pan out.
Zema Ion Vs Sonjay Dutt – X Division Title Match
Sonjay Dutt was a Tna regular for years but never really made much of an impact until he started stalking So Cal Val. Shortly after that he disappeared only...

As a writer who tends to specialise in wrestling I am often criticised by fellow fans for my often derogatory remarks about Tna Impact Wrestling. But you see, I don’t hate Tna – quite the contrary. I want Tna to succede. I want Tna to be a legitimate threat to the WWE. I want wrestlers to consider who’s better to work for when there WWE contract ends rather than just staying with Vince and co just for the money or heading to Tampa for a lighter working schedule. There should be more to it than that. Wrestlers should have more choices. It’s just a shame that I can remember when Tna was part of the Nwa and made some really unmissabel television – especially with its X Division.
So I’ve decided to have a look at the Tna roster and to decide upon a workable structure that can...

The X Division was once the best thing on television. These days it’s a watered down shell of it’s former self. Things were on the up with Austin Aries as champion which has ultimately led to him fighting for the World Heavyweight title in a PPV main event. Can you believe it? We can’t! Not from the company that pushed an enfeebled Jeff Hardy over Aj Styles.
So without further ado we look once more into our crystal ball and give you our thoughts on Tna Destination X 2012.
Dakota Darsow Vs Rubix Vs Lars Only Vs Mason Andrews – Last Chance 4 Way
Kudos to Tna for bringing in some exciting talents for this tournament and not just throwing Robbie E into the mix because they don’t have a decent X Division roster anymore, but surely there could have been a few better choices than the ones they...

Impact Wrestling! November 4th 2011!
Tonight there are Pumpkins in the crowd and the World Champion James Storm is first out to the ring. After a bit of blabbing about growing up in the South, respect and drinking beer, he brings out his opponent tonight, Bobby Roode. Storm tells him to bring everything he got. Roode thanks him for giving him a second chance in his career by coming up with all the ideas for Beer Money then says tonight they’re going to steal the show.
Eric Young arrives backstage with Ronnie from the Jersey Shore. Bah! I’d forgotten that was happening.
Knockout Tag Team Title Match
Gail Kim and Madison Rayne w/Karen & Brooks vs. Tara and Tessmacher
Texas ring gear for the champions tonight if you care about that kind of thing. Madison gets double teamed with a big suplex and tags Gail Kim in. She goes right at it with Tara,...

Hot off the heels of disappointing/predictable/weird Bound For Glory, we are back in Florida for Impact Wrestling this week. First we get a video to remind us that Hogan turned face and joined Sting, then in the arena Sting himself is on the way to the ring. Sting is happy that he got the company back to Dixie, and that he got the real Hulk Hogan back. The explanation for turning face should be a good one, right? Sting brings out Hogan and he’s all smiles and in classic red and yellow. Hogan says for the last year he’s been wrong. That was a very sudden realisation. Hogan explains that he had a few bad years, lost a bit of confidence and became a follower of Bischoff rather than a leader. There’s only one person to thank he says. And its Sting.

Tna Bound For Glory 2011
October 16th, Live from Philadelphia
Obligatory shot of the Liberty Bell and of course Rocky before we move into the Bound For Glory hype video. Then we are listening to Stain’d (for the first time since 2001 if you’re anything like me) as we go Live into the arena. You’d think for their biggest show of the year they’d have some pyro.
X Division Title
Brian Kendrick vs. Austin Aries
Lockup, the crowd strongly behind Austin Aries for some reason. We are in Philly tonight, the crowd could be interesting. Kendrick hip toss and a side head lock take over or three. Austin gets out of each one with an easy head scissors. Kendrick dropkicks him outside, where Aries decides he needs a time out. Of course Kendrick cant resist a vaulting cross body block. I can understand them cheering who they want.

It’s the go home show before Bound For Glory which means its their last time to sell the show! And in an interview this week Hulk Hogan completely buried Robert Roode as a credible main eventer by saying he doesn’t think hes the guy, and that Angle should “Carry” him to a good match nonetheless. Way to bury your own main event Hulk.
Speaking of the main event, Kurt Angle, the defending champion is first out tonight and calls out his challenger Robert Roode right away. “Next World Champ” chant. Kurt says he booked the matches the past few weeks to try and break him down. Angle congratulates him for winning them, but reminds him he’s the greatest wrestler ever and he’ll prove it at Bfg. Then he extends a hand. Roode decides not to shake though and takes a mic. Roode...

We kick off with a Hulk Hogan video package because he claims that his run is finally over and tonight we allegedly have his retirement ceremony coming up. Imagine ending a long term career like that in Tna. He’s got to be depressed. Not that I’ll ever believe he’s finished for good. Hogan and Bischoff arrive in the parking lot.
Beer Money are on their way out together, despite having to face each other tonight. Storm says its about damn time Hulk Hogan took a back seat and gave the young guys a chance to entertain the fans. Agreed. Storm tells Hogan to have fun trying to follow their match tonight because they plan on tearing this son of a bitch down in Knoxville Tennessee. Roode takes the mic and plugs James as the Tennessee cowboy and welcomes him home. Roode says Fortune...

Impact Wrestling September 22nd
Recap Sting and Ric Flair having the worst match ever, then Hogan beating down Sting unconvincingly. This is what you would call a “hype” video. But no amount of hype can save where this storyline is going. In the arena here comes the “Insane Icon” Sting in a Hogan t-shirt carrying a clipboard. Which in wrestling either means contract or petition. This time it seems to be a contract as he wants Hogan to the ring. Hogan obliges. Hogan/Flair/Sting. Its like watching WCW in the mid 90s. Hogan says hes not clear to wrestle. Sting shows footage of Hogan beating him down which contradicts that statement. Sting wants to get it on right now but Hogan doesn’t. Instead bring out another mid 90s staple in Eric Bischoff. Sting ignores him completely then decks him.
Backstage, Karen Jarrett is telling a selection of Knockouts about their match tonight.

As expected, No Surrender kicked off with the entire roster taking part in a 9/11 tribute. Tna Knockout Rosita, whose father died in the attacks, was shown. Mike Tenay and Tazz are the announcers and first it’s…
#1 Contenders Match for the X Division Title
Jesse Sorensen vs. Kid Kash
Anyone else think it’s about time he dropped the Kid in his name? I know Man Kash doesn’t have the same ring to it, but he’s definitely not a kid anymore. In saying that as long as he never brings back the Pit-bull gimmick, I’m happy. Match starts off with an exchange of quick pin falls and reversals that the fans are well behind from the bell.
