Great peek into the lives of the Beatles.
azskylover2 November 2011
Anyone who is a Beatles fan will enjoy this movie. I smiled all the way through it. From the famous to the not so famous Seth Swirsky compiles a treasure chest of interviews from those who knew or had crossed path with various members of the Beatles. It really humanized John, Paul, George and Ringo for me. Also the humbleness and genuine love towards the Beatles coming from the famous people that Seth interviewed was refreshing in this day of "look at me I'm a self important celebrity". I was amazed at the variety of people that Seth got to speak about the Beatles. The filmmaker obviously did his homework. If you have a film festival in an area where you live and this is playing definitely go see this.

A new story every couple of minutes! Fabulous!

Ever wondered how you would react if you got to spend time with members of the greatest entertainment group of all time? Then this film is for you. Obviously a labor of love from Seth Swirsky and it shows. It's informative and it's fun! To see major stars get sort of "giggly" telling their interactions is a treat! And not just celebrities. You can live vicariously through ordinary people who had the moments the rest of us just dream about. Great concept, well researched and well produced. Go watch it now! What are you waiting for?

Fun, delightful film that weaves together vignettes of famous & unknown folks meeting The Beatles
Sasha_Lauren31 August 2020
This is one of the most delightful films I've ever seen. I had a huge grin on my face all the way though it... well, except maybe for the story about John Lennon and Ronald Reagan told by John's assistant, although it is still a great story.

Grammy nominated songwriter Seth Swirsky is a Beatlemaniac, like many other of us mortals. All of his life, Seth heard stories about people who had a meeting with The Beatles either by chance, romance, working on their records, performing on a TV show with them, or even near misses that did not end up in their meeting them.

Seth picked up a camcorder and tracked down a diverse group of people with Beatles stories to tell from May Pang, George Martin, Davy Jones, Graham Nash, Art Garfunkle, Peter Noone, The Fonz, Ben Kingsley, and other people of renown, to folks whose names are not recognizable, but their brush with the Lads From Liverpool left them the better for it.

The stories are positive; everyone gushes. A favorite tale, which made me cry, was told by an Apple Scruff.

If you love The Beatles and want to see an uplifting movie that will remind you of all that is good in the world, "Beatles Stories" is it!

Intimate, informative & entertaining.

This is a really interesting film, not just about Beatles' music but about people who knew them. Some only briefly but all had a tale to tell. It was like chatting with friends in your living room. Great production from Seth Swirsky.

Not a single note of Beatles music....

You can always tell an unauthorized film on a rock group when all you get is terrible Muzak vaguely trying to sound like the real thing. Next to re-enactments this is the worst form of documentary film-making.

A MAGNIFICENT USE OF A YEAR OF YOUR LIFE
stevesky-1508712 April 2023
I've often thought whenever we get the chance to hear the private stories and anecdotes of the famous, about meeting OTHER famous people that they are fascinating. Of course the more famous they are the better. If both sides of the encounter are famous then it's absolute gold! Yet how depressing that 99% of these stories and encounters are lost to time for little more reason than neither side wrote them down or shared them with us, the normal folk. This is where I have nothing but gratitude and admiration for Seth and his Labour of love. Thanks to him we have 2hrs of gems about the most famous 4 to have ever lived and yet it is or course a mere drop in the ocean. Imagine just how many more stories there are and the countless thousands of others who have wonderful stories about the beetles that we will never know. And that's just the beetles. What about the millions of other fascinating stories that will never be told about other superstars. This should be a series. I'd love to see a whole host of films like this. But ahhhhh, who has the time? Well Seth found the time and I thank him for it. And judging from his IMDb credits it's the most important thing he's ever done. Seth! What are you wasting your time with, man?! Forget all that other stuff and make more films like this! I want to see ELVIS, LED ZEP, GnR, MOTLEY CRUE!

Utterly Idiotic
arfdawg-14 December 2019
This is the stupidest film I have ever seen.

A bunch of 30 second recounts by people who met the Beatles -- or worse, George Martin.

Why was this idiocy made? The stories are non eventful and not even interesting.

Just dismal.
