My overall rating of "Bron/Broen"'s Season 1: 5/10
While this episode has some excellent thrills and twists (some of which will be kind of undone by future plot developments, for what it's worth), there are too many strange and/or illogical moments and coincidences for it to be appraised any higher. August's behaviour is especially bizarre - sure, Saga might not see anything wrong with it, but he learnt where she lived, got there, called her flat and asked to stay overnight... Kind of a moonshot, in terms of odds of success, if nothing else Saga is even less trusting of outsiders than the average woman, as seen in her discomfort at the idea of Martin coming over to the station in episode 1... The main (imprisoned cop) plotline makes very little sense as well, especially in the resolution (oh, this time he left the door unlocked, and the dad has emotional swings like American rides). Editing is spotty as usual.
