I remember that around 2010 someone asked people outside a major art museum to name some female artists. Most couldn't come up with one. Many could only recall Frida Kahlo. As this documentary shows, there are so many stunningly talented female artists it's mind boggling that there is so little recognition out there. This film focuses on more academic contemporary art that ranges from funny, to extremely graphic and confrontational. Watch with an open mind and you will get quite an education. It's a pity the movie isn't longer.
