- Zaha Hadid: Architecture is really, bottom line, about well-being. It has to make you feel good. It is very serious. It has a kind of disclosure, but it's ultimate aim is to make people feel good whether as a living environment, a working environment, or an event space but it should eventually add to their well-being. And these goals always change. They're not always fixed. And I think that's what makes it interesting. To always be yourself on the move because you have to find the next goal.
- Zaha Hadid: The Architectural Association was all about optimism and developing ideas and I think this is something that we take for granted that everyone thinks that the central issue is ideas, how to develop ideas or concepts and then you really do train yourself about how to have ideas, but it's not done through formal training. It's not like someone comes and teaches you how to think, it's something that you have to do yourself.
