I actually enjoy these American/Canadian films about the British Royals or aristocrisy. They clearly do no research or know anything about the Royal Family.

Whilst the actors who were cast as British did quite good British accents, so many things were wrong. The Prince went to America, only accompanied by his bodyguard, no butler or any other entourage.

The fictional royal home in the English countryside was clearly a hotel, the architecture was all wrong. Initially I thought it might be Eastern European, but I believe it was filmed in Canada. Even all the room doors either side of the corridor were obviously guest rooms and the entrance looked like the foyer of a hotel too.

At one point we see the mentally disturbed prince remove his shirt to see slash marks on his chest, this wasn't explained. Did he receive them as a result of an assault or were they self-inflicted?

At one point the Prince places a listening device on the phone of his victim, to the end of the film she never discovered this. There is also no explanation as to what is wrong with the Prince, except to say he was not taking his prescribed medication.

The film was mildly entertaining and amusing, but the usual made for tv type film.

Not what I expected
I hoped for a good thriller, but this wasnt it. While the story was okay, the acting was bad and so cheesy. It became too predictable of what was going to happen next. Could have been better!

Inspired by Harry and Meghan, perhaps..,
coltras3526 June 2023
Alyssa Banks (Natalie Hall) is a publicist living an ordinary life in the city. But that all changes when she meets someone special at a work party: Prince Jack (Jonathan Keltz), the Earl of Northshire. At the urging of her best friend, Alyssa chats with Jack and is quickly swept up by his charming allure. Having just gone through a bad breakup, someone like Jack is just who Alyssa is looking for. He whisks her off to Northshire - but soon her fairytale romance is going to turn into a nightmare as our Bonny prince isn't all that he seems.

It's obvious that the prince isn't right upstairs, but the beautiful heroine played by Natalie Hall goes ga-ga over him. We know that he's unstable, doesn't take his pills and suffers from an obsessive behaviour. This, of course, spirals out of control as we get a woman in danger scenario.

This is a decent thriller, much more exciting than reading the real-life tales of Harry and Meghan in the daily Rags. There's some genuine tension, a sense of danger- and it ends satisfactory. Jonathan Keltz excels as the psychotic prince - Natalie Hall looks suitably happy then distressed. The "terror" music can be grating on ones nerves.

An Unattractive & Arrogant Prince
gymnckv1 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Unattractive & Arrogant Prince

Why would Alyssa fall for such an unattractive and charmless guy like Jack? He is arrogant, unpleasant and boring.

The whole "What's going on here? Am I a hostage?" was not compelling. There were children playing and the crown prince & his wife nearby. Why not ask them for help. How would the crown prince be traveling without security?

Taffer was a poor bodyguard. Timothy knew his brother was deranged and armed yet he still approached him. Did Timothy die?

Alyssa couldn't decide if she was a badass or a meek victim. I didn't like the character or the performance of anyone in the film except the BFF Rachel played by Konstantina Mantelos stood out in a good way. Despite her basically throwing her BFF to the stalker.

This film was a hot mess.

Nonsense
peteratskegness1 August 2022
Watched this as the idea initially sounded interesting. The usual American actor playing someone English, with a posh version of a"mockney" accent, initially hilarious, but then as tedious as this far-fetched story which was dragged out for as long as possible. Would have given it one star but for the best line in it, which had me laughing for several minutes: "There's a pub not far from here - they serve a mean Devilled Kidney, I'm told".

Charmed by a not-so-Hallmark prince
CranberriAppl12 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The main reason I watched this is because of the two leads' prince-themed Hallmark movie last year. They have good chemistry in both and this movie had to be tongue-in-cheek. So I watched it in fun and not with my usual Lifetime cynicism. It was decent and more well produced than the average Lifetime thriller with this same or similar plot. It's a straightforward story, no unnecessary complications, and the script is decent. Props to Lifetime for not making this movie salacious or trashy since the obvious goal was to be the opposite of Hallmark.

Jack is a creep from the beginning. I appreciate the movie not wasting time with "is he or isn't he?" Yes, dude is a psycho. Jack's family and servants and people in the town know that something is "off" about him, so do they know he's killed women? I mean that's a bit worse than just being a bad boy prince with fits of psychotic rage. They seem to think medications solve his problems, and their dealings with him seem like part of life. But do they know he kills? Why did they let him travel outside of the country? Why is he murderous? I don't think any of that is explained. Granted they seem like royals in name only who have an ancestral manor, but letting him run around free would still give the family bad press.

By the end, the body count is technically low, but I kind of think it was overkill to off the brother. I did like the "my duty's to the crown," line, but we already knew he was deranged, so he didn't need to kill his bro to prove it. Also the brother had young children. It was just excessive.

Nevertheless, it's good for at least one watch and it's way better than The Wrong Prince Charming.

Girlboss vs. Stalker Prince
wahlker82716 May 2022
This is Natalie Hall and Jonathan Keltz's sophomoric pairing since "Fit for a Prince" and they have graduated from Hallmark-saccharine to thriller-hardcore(sorta)! The film tells a story of how a resourceful girlboss falls for, becomes trapped by, and eventually saves herself from a psychopathic lover prince.

In terms of it as a thriller, Stalked by a Prince has a fittingly intense score and a serviceable plotline. Though I find the film's portrayal of Prince Jack's psychopath personalities to be quite on the nose and sometimes one-dimensional, Jonathan Keltz's dedicated acting does add layers and depths to his character. Natalie Hall is equally brilliant, especially in the third act where her character Alyssa faces off with her evil lover. The film also gives a brief yet appreciable commentary on mass media sensationalism.

This film is definitely flawed but does have its bright spots. I came into this with doubt but in the end, I found myself enjoying it much more than I expected.

Not bad!

Not bad at all! Entertaining movie. Little different vibe from the typical Lifetime movie. Worth a watch for sure. Suspenseful, dramatic, overall 8 out of 10.

They didn't live happily ever after in this one!
Chartreuse12 March 2022
Publicist Alyssa Banks meets Prince Jack and it was anything but a fairy-tale romance! This movie started out very harmless and morphed into quite a dark, good thriller! Jonathan Keltz and Natalie Hall pair up again from last year's movie "Fit for a Prince" to do a good acting job! Definitely recommend!
