This film is based on the Shiba King series, a YouTube video series based on random moments of various people playing VRChat in the shiba avatar, mostly drunkenness and funny anecdotes.
The original script had the Uwuminati kill the detective, and the Assistant character was the leader of the cult all along.
The opening credits for the film were the director's (Evan Carter's) final project for his After Effects workshop class during his freshman year in college.
There were supposed to be 6 commercials in the original script, including a parody of Left 4 Dead 2 and a satire cryptocurrency commercial.
Shiba King: Assassination was originally supposed to be released in two parts, but was then uploaded as one film, with Part One having already been released.
