Bit of a mixed bag this, with some good ideas, some good ideas that are badly handled and some ideas that should have been thrown out a long time ago. It's great to see Alf in the clear and the interplay between Morag and Colleen, with neither being entirely right or entirely wrong, is nicely handled.Alf's olive branch to Irene is perhaps a bit too unconditional given it's only two weeks since his understandable "I'll never forgive you for this" stance. His showdown with Will is excellent but the sudden antagonism between him and John doesn't really work.
Will loses most of the sympathy he garnered in the previous episode with his cowardly refusal to see Lily.Unfortunately this is dragged out far too long and we don't even get to see their conversation.Whilst it's nice Gypsy hasn't been forgotten, it's a shame that this apparently means the end of Lily, a character who seemed to be around for good.Nice to see Constable Watson again.
Marilyn continues to have few redeeming features once you look past the bubbly facade, as she keeps pressuring Nicole and not letting her have a minute's peace.Sid comes off better and rightly tells Nicole that her decision should have nothing to do with Marilyn.
