Nothing to write home about

I was waiting enthusiastically for this episode. But I'm disappointed. This episode doesn't give anything to add to the series. Mother Lamia seems to be de-weaponized in front of the snake and the others seem absolutely clueless about what is happening around them. I'm giving a 7 for the efforts of the cast and crew. I'm pretty sure they are also in the dark about how the series will unfold.

We get great answers, great weird action. Not so great acting in some scenes but nothing too distracting. Same with special effects, could be a bit better but i absolutely loved this episode. Vrille is just awesome... i hope she doesn't die. I hate the other reviwers questioning stupid things like Mother recharging with cords, like are you that stupid you cannot comprehend these androids need special blood, they are organisms, she wasn't just charging shes not your iphone 13.

They are taking us for an amazing ride

Honestly I can't believe how this season has developed so spectacularly. I'm contrast to the dark, slow and sometimes horrific scenes of the first season, this second season is full of fantasy, humidity and edge of your west thrills.

I feel like I've really experienced different regions on this alien world with the way each season was shot and edited.

Not to mention the expanded logic of the world building as we learn about the ancients and their relationship to present day events.

Wow, just wow.

Green Light Season 3 Expeditiously

Haven't seen Si-Fi on this level ever before, it is mind blowing.

People who are complaining about not understanding the show should listen to the intro song as a starting point, then actually listen to the dialogue during the show ( impeccable writing I must add), and listen to the podcasts after the shows because it basically re-explain what is going on if you're too slow to keep up.

Incredible story, incredible visuals & incredible acting.

Mindblowing

As we get near the season finale of the second season of an already timeless masterpiece of a series, certain things are becoming clearer and big questions are being answered. This episode was insane on all levels and I cannot wait to see the finale.

Things are just happening

There is no story just random events that happen.

It's like Lost, they write it on-the-fly, no cohesion between the parts. I think writers just got some "funny material" and consumed it in one batch. Then wrote down the whole chaos they saw.

OMG, it's painful to see this. I crave for closure, that's why I didn't cancel it yet. But I will after the end of this season. How much money and production time was invested into this pile of ...

Warning: Spoilers
Okay, I can surely say now, I hate this season.

The first one was okay with a lot of unanswered questions, but I said: okay, maybe the next season will give us answers. But the writers said: nope, we don't.

And the characteres, what are they doing? Father acts like he is not interested to keep his children safe.

Mother was not there when Tempest gave birth to her child, and because of that we have this terrible subplot with Tempest and her child. MOTHER was not there. What?

Tempest has no idea what she wants.

Campion believes Vrille, but not for the people? And he supposed to be a leader of the mankind?

And Vrille is a killer, sorry guys, she has to be destroyed. And Father says: it is okay, we can take her to the camp! Great! A murderer! Why not?

It is terrible the way it is.

Disappointing season
Couchkik2010 March 2022
Raised By Wolves is a very frustrating show.

Season one was amazing and creative even though it felt low budget and the finale was disconcerting and terribly rushed. But the characters were engaging and had proper arcs with intriguing flashbacks. The Sol entity was an original idea well developed.

Season two on the other hand has clearly a much bigger budget and greater special effects and CGI. It's stunning visually. But all the positive is destroyed by awful writing and dialogues. I'm talking CW level of writing. The colony concept is cool and well done initially but as the story goes there is no direction. Just stuff happening, poor characters development and ridiculous cliffhangers. The battle between the Sol believers and the Atheists is boring and slow. Dialogues are bad and too contemporary for a Sci-fi show. The episodes are just about objects being discovered and creatures appearing or evolving. Everyone makes random decisions based on "dreams" or hallucinations. There's absolutely no logic or proper continuity. Writers just seem to establish "action scenes" and build the plot as they go. It's so dumb. The only exciting episode was the killer robot one because it felt more structured and suspenseful. But otherwise this is plain bad and frustrating considering the good cast and strong visuals.

weird and dumb

Warning: Spoilers
I just don't get the ratings. Probably fake and paid for. The story does not make any sense. Human tree eaten by an android snake, human baby kidnapped and fed by an acid sea monster, or whatever. Also that Campion fella obsessed with the faceless girl android is extremely annoying. I have no clue what is this whole mess about. It's like they had some free time to waste. Super weapon android injured by the android snake put on a blue colored illuminating charger line - that was the part where I just laughed out very loudly. What? They don't have cordless android charger in the totally technologically advanced future? Come on, this whole thing was just created to show alien like acid monsters, because that is what one of the producers is obseessed with.

New Writers?
Chris_P_Bacon0011 March 2022
Did they let the child actors on this series write their own story lines? Such a shame that a show with such a high budget could have such bad writing. Campion and Tempest are so annoying. The moment Mother took back her eyes earlier in the season I was turned off.
