The Cinema Snob (2009)
"Brutes and Savages"
In this now long-running series, writer-director Brad Jones play the title character, the Cinema Snob, a mainstream or high art critic who decides to review some of the most notoriously bad movies ever made. Since the original episode this series has grown to have a very high cult following and fans from around the world.
The MONDO CANE rip-off BRUTES AND SAVAGES is the victim in this episode of The Cinema Snob. The episode gets off to a very funny start as the Snob talks about the DVD cover and how many lies are on it in order to try and sell copies. From here the laughs keep coming including some very funny stuff dealing with the infamous alligator sequence in the film where a man must get across some water with alligators. The Snob does the right thing and just lets this sequence play out. There's even some very funny stuff about the face painting going on in the film and the messed up disco score. Fans of the series will find plenty to laugh about here.
