Nostalgia Chick: In most Disney movies, the moral of the story is, "Be yourself. Go, live your dream, you beautiful, unique, coming-of-age, perfect-bodied, perfect-haired, easy-to-sell little piece of marketing, you." With Dreamworks, the story is, "Be yourself. Be your grotesque, fat-assed, ogrefied, fifty-foot, large-headed self that isn't a teenager and that doesn't end the story all beautiful and a princess and... married to the perfect mate." Dreamworks characters are more often physically abhorrent outcasts. And they're okay with that.
