- The liars face the fallout from what happened with Ian at the church, their parents have them talk with a therapist; Caleb returns to see Hanna; Spencer is told Toby is off-limits.
- Open at the church with the girls discussing what might have happened to Ian's body. Garrett walks up and says he's taking them to the station. Halfway there he pulls over and coaches them not to say anything about blackmailing Ian or his involvement in that process. Garrett tells Spencer they'll be okay so long as they "stick to their story" and at that point we see that Jenna was listening to all of this.
The next day Spencer tells the girls she didn't see anything in the tower other than a hood and glasses. The consensus is that Jenna can't be A. The girls come downstairs to find all of their parents waiting. Based on how things look at this point to the police -- the girls have an obsession with pinning Alison's death on Ian -- they think the girls should see a grief counselor to help with appearances. But the parents don't seem to completely believe the girls' story, particularly since Ian's body is nowhere to be found.
Toby shows up at the door and is turned away by Peter. Spencer looks at her father in complete shock before walking upstairs. The other girls follow.
Garrett and Jenna sit in his car. He wonders why Jason would move back into the house and is worried about what could happen if "anybody finds out about Jason." She tells him "you're not going to let that happen."
At school Ella tells Aria that she's going to be moving back in. Aria wonders if she's doing it just for her, but her mother says she's doing it for herself, as well.
Ezra starts teaching a class. A few minutes in Noel walks through the door. He takes a seat next to Aria and smirks: "Miss me?"
Hanna overhears some of the wild rumors kids are saying about them. Mona walks over and chastises the girls. Hanna tells her she's tired "of thinking about things."
Spencer and Aria wonder how Noel can still be so popular. Ezra calls Aria into his office. Ezra asks if she wants to talk about what happens. She turns him down and he apologizes about not telling her about Jackie. He says he still loves and she says she doesn't want talk to him. He asks if their relationship is over and she says "I don't know."
Spencer goes to Toby's place looking to talk. But Jenna answers the door and says their parents don't want him to talk to her anymore.
Pam has a realtor (Mr. Mendez) take a look at Emily's room while she's in there. He wants Emily to put away photos and paint over her height measurements for the showing.
Spencer comes home to find Garrett talking to Melissa and her parents about the search for Ian. He hasn't shown up in any hospitals. After he leaves Spencer tells him that what she said about him being dead is the truth. Melissa doesn't buy it and says she is leaving once Ian comes home. Veronica tells Spencer she's complicating matters and a furious Spencer storms out, telling her mother that she's only protecting one of her daughters.
Hanna is late for the meeting with Anne, the grief counselor.
Lucas drops off Caleb, warning him to treat Hanna well.
The girls tell Anne they became friends because of Alison. Their friendship struggled, but they got back together trying to find answers regarding Alison's death. Anne tells them her office is a "safe place." Aria wonders out loud if they should talk about "that thing." Aria's cell phone dings and they decide to leave.
Outside Toby is waiting to see Spencer. The girls see a huge picture of the four of them is on the front of the newspaper under the headline: What Really Happened?" Since Ian's car was found outside the train station with bank withdrawal slip inside, the article speculates they made up the story because he left. At this point all four get the same text from A: "I spy a liar."
Hanna returns home to find Caleb sitting with Ashley. Her mother leaves them alone. Caleb says he didn't leave without saying good-bye and tells her about the letter he gave to Mona. She says that doesn't change what he did. He says he loves her, but she says she'll never be able to forget that he used her. She accepts his apology but says he needs to go. He walks out and a tear slides down her face.
Hanna confronts Mona about not giving her Caleb's letter. She says she thought she was protecting her. Hanna says she hurt her more than Caleb did and we see that she's on a date with Noel.
Spencer gets a text from Emily, who is waiting with Toby. Melissa walks in her room and says she's sorry about saying she didn't want her around the baby. She's picked the name Taylor. She says she doesn't think Ian would have taken the cash and left like that and asks her again what happened at the church.
Toby waits with Emily for Spencer, who eventually texts that she can't come. Emily apologizes for how she treated him and he forgives him. She says she feels like she's leaving four friends behind.
Aria stops by Ezra's place. She says it feels like things have changed between them. To prove they haven't she asks why his ex ended their engagement. He says she isn't a rebound and admits when they first met he was still in love with her. But he assures her that he never thought about Jackie when he was with her. He asks her to stay but she leaves. He asks if he can call her the following day and she says "I'll see you on Monday." As she walks away she gets a picture text from A. It says "Look Familiar? What's Missing?" and shows an image from Ezra's apartment. She walks back to Ezra's door and find the key is no longer under the welcome mat.
The girls dissect Aria's text from A and decide the point is to show she has access to Ezra's place. A fearful Emily thinks they should tell Anne about A. Ari wants them to show her the video. Hanna has noticed that Anne wears particularly high-quality shoes.
Anne tells the girls she can't tell anything they talk about unless it makes her think they are a danger to themselves or others. Hanna notices Anne is wearing yet another pair of nice shoes. Just as Aria begins to tell Anne some of their secrets Spencer notices a diploma on the mantle and cuts her off. A closer look reveals that Ezra's name is on the mantle. The girls make a hasty retreat as Hanna sneaks the diploma into her bag.
Outside they realize the diploma was what was missing from Ezra's and that A knew there were going to spill the beans to Anne.
Anne calls Aria's parents and tells them she doesn't think the girls are capable of maintaining a healthy friendship and thinks they should spend time apart. It looks as if all four of the girls are being told the same thing.
Spencer spots something outside and tries to lock all the doors. She hides in a corner with a knife but it turns out just to be Toby.
We see Anne leaving her office that night. She thinks she's being followed to her car.
Toby leaves, telling Spencer to lock up behind him. She hears he sister's cell phone buzz with a text message from a blocked number. It reads: "Melissa, I'm sorry but it's not safe yet. I can't tell you."
Spencer gathers the girls with an "S.O.S." text. She brings Mellissa's phone with her and they decide the only way to know for sure is for them to reply with a "How do I know this is you?" text. The response to that is "Ask me anything." She asks what the name of the baby will be and the response comes: "Taylor." The girls are convinced this means Ian is alive.
During the closing credits it looks as if A is taking the tour of Emily's place.
