One Subplot Too Many
Uriah4312 March 2017
After being sent to juvenile detention for attempted murder "Keiko Aizawa" (Reiko Ike) finds herself having to fight off an entire cell-block led by a woman named "Miwa Tatibana" (Ritsuko Fujiyama). Fortunately, Keiko quickly adapts and after a year of fighting she becomes the most respected woman there. And upon finally being released she has one thing on her mind--to get revenge on Miwa. However, she soon discovers that finding her is a bit more complicated than she realized and makes a number of other enemies in the process. Now rather than reveal any more I will just say that I didn't think this film was quite as good as some of the other "Girl Boss" movies in the collection. For starters, the film had at least one subplot too many which caused things to seem a bit rushed. Likewise, I didn't much care for the ending as well. Even so it wasn't necessarily a terrible film and for that reason I have rated it accordingly. Slightly below average.
