Someone, either the writer or Emily Symons, seems to have decided to play Marilyn's attempt to organise Nicole's life for laughs.It might work, so long as you don't think about what she's actually doing.If you do, she just comes across as a bully and the similarity between her and Colleen has never been more obvious.(She even uses Colleen's catchphrase.)Romeo helping Nicole out is the most sympathetic thing he's done in a while.Marilyn using the hairspray on herself is a nice subtle moment in isolation.Morag gets applause by telling Marilyn to pull her head in, although ironically her sudden about turn makes Nicole's situation harder.
Charlie and Brax circle around each other and the subplot of the down-on-her-luck mother helps Brax to show his charitable side, which is fortunate given how cocky he is at some points.Charlie's apparent decision to go round to his restaurant and have sex with him really does render her completely incapable of passing judgement on Ruby, who's typically rude to her during their tiny bit of screen time together.
