More crap than cult

Warning: Spoilers
"Bunny the Killer Thing" is a Finnish movie from 2011 and this is not the full feature film, but I shall say a few words about that in a little while later on. The writer and director is Joonas Makkonen and he is also a prolific actor playing the character if Miro this time. This film is from 2011 and runs for slightly under 18 minutes. In the prologue we see a little bloodthirsty rabbit and all that follows afterwards and after the opening credits is what happens when the rabbit is grown-up. We got a bunch of Finnish young people travelling to a dog presentation event and suddely there lies something big in front of them on the road. So the jock (played by the director) goes out and sees what it is. Bad decision. He and his "bimbo" girlfriend are the first victims not counting the very first. Kinda ridiculous actually if you see near the end how well the skinny fellow does against that rabbit, but yeah if you take the key story at the film's core here, then realism is something you really should not expect with this movie, not on a single occasion. What else can be said. The girl during the sex scene early on was pretty good no denying. Certainly hotter than seeing the rabbit monster's big genital that gets severed near the end. But the hero will pay a price for what he did not much later and he sure did not see that coming. You will understand this little pun if you watch the film. But actually, you shouldn't really. It wasn't that good of a watch for me. It also says a lot about the filmmaker's (lack of) talent here if this is his most known career effort to date still. Or I should say the full feature film he made a few years later that was based on this one here. I cannot say more about that one as I haven't seen it, but the rating on imdb is lower than the one for this short film and that says a lot I guess. It's not a problem for me Makkonen has not made any new films after his really prolific short film career now in almost half a decade or so. This one did not make me curious to check out further works by him. Not recommended.

This might be worst then the movie but without this there wouldn't be a movie this is a good and funny idea and maybe there will be something about this franchise in the future because it's soo different from anything else.

Funny Short-Splatter-Film about a pussy loving bunny.

Warning: Spoilers
The short movie begins in the year 1986 with an old man chopping wood. After a "small" sip of "moonshine", he sees a small bunny. He looks at him closely but gets attacked.

After the first credits, the short film continues in the present. We see the main character Miro sleeping with his girlfriend. His shy buddy(?) Jari is too embarrassed to grab a car key that lays on a table in the same room after he saw them mating so he and his fried/buddy/relative Olle have to wait for the young pair to finish. They want to visit an exhibition. On their way, they cross a bunny with a long penis who is mad for everything that slightly remembers one of a vagina.

The story is unusual, but nothing complex. I does not need to be, this is a fun splatter short movie and the young men and women from Jo Jo the Dog Films made everything right to make a funny entertaining shorty, provided that you like this kind of film.

The first dialog between Jari and Olle is acted a little bit clumsy, every other scene provides solid acting. Sound and editing is solid, too.

I myself found this film entertaining to watch and if you are into this kind of humor (the kind of humor that you would expect in a film dealing with a killer bunny with an enormous penis), you won't go wrong with this short film.
