Fun road movie, neither overly serious nor campy.

There's nothing to really add from the synopsis - the production and acting are nice given their limits and the story is fun to watch unfold.

Notable is that the "Coyote" character is based in part on a persona developed by Canadian novelist/personality Sean Kennedy and several nods to him are present in the film.

Well worth the price of admission

An enjoyable, well-made indie, free from the pretension that usually comes with the... is "indie" a genre? It's the writing that really makes The Wanderers stand out. It takes skill to turn what by all rights should be a boilerplate, bog-standard plot and make it fresh and interesting.

Amnesia is a cliché plot device, but clichés are clichés because they work, and The Wanderers makes it work. I quickly found myself forgetting that I've seen it used before, and even forgetting that this is a labor- of-love indie film, and just enjoying the ride.

Also, I'm not sure whether the script or Ben Dreyfuss deserves the credit, but I would eagerly watch a sequel about his character.
