Finally, finally, finally a Laura centric episode! And it was well worth the wait.
It took slogging through a morass of tedium, but on Incorporated Season 1 Episode 6 we finally got to see what happened to Laura eight years ago, and how it started her downward spiral of self destruction.
I've made it very clear that the only character that means a damn to me on this show is Laura. She has a heart, a soul, and actual Feelings, which is very hard to come by in this world.
The fact that she is being used by Ben is heartbreaking, because for some reason she really loves that louse.
Ben is such a stone cold schemer, and to use another human being the way he uses Laura is reprehensible.
I mean, using birth control behind Laura's back, when you know that all she wants in the whole world is a baby?...

The Vampire Diaries season seven finale is the least eventful in the show's history...
This review contains spoilers.
7.22 Gods And Monsters
So we've finally reached the end of our first Elena-free year of The Vampire Diaries, and it's been a perplexing year for the show. Not a series that could ever be described as consistent, season seven has been more up and down than most (which beats completely down), and this finale really just sums up that journey.
Gods And Monsters is such an odd episode for season seven to end on, because it's actually a very average episode of the show. I'd go as far as to say that it's the least eventful finale of the entire series, and that's even stranger when you consider that the penultimate episode featured the kind of big, sweeping emotional moments that we've come to expect. Here, it's one big...

Bonnie's rehabilitation and a very heightened emotional situation make for an interesting episode of The Vampire Diaries...
This review contains spoilers
7.21: Requiem For A Dream
Nothing impresses me more than when a television show can bring a character back from the depths of audience hatred - when the writers finally wake up to an actor's talent or a character's potential and craft them some good material. The opposite of this has happened a lot of The Vampire Diaries (Matt, we'll get to you later), but it's rare for a show to really pull it off as well as these guys have with Bonnie.
Damon's speech at the end of Requiem For A Dream, in which he recounts all of the things Bonnie has had to overcome since season 1, and how much he admires her for it, was thus a high point of the whole series for me.

It's all about saving Bonnie on The Vampire Diaries right now, and "Kill 'Em All" sees her friends continue to hunt down those on Rayna's list.
In this episode, Damon and Enzo lead the charge to save Bonnie before her condition worsens, while Stefan and Matt reluctantly team up for her sake -- which leads to Stefan uncovering the reason Matt's angry with him. Meanwhile, Caroline's determined to help her best friend and joins Alaric on a mission, which makes her realize how much she's missed her former life. Finally, when their plan takes an unexpected turn, Damon makes a fateful decision that will forever change his relationship with Bonnie.

Metallica promised to "shake the rafters" of The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson during their residency this week, and they kicked things off last night with a thunderous run-through of the first song they ever recorded, "Hit the Lights." The band played the song after sitting for an interview with the Scottish host, who will be leaving the show on December 19th, in which they talked about the re-release of their documentary Some Kind of Monster and joked about The Late Late Show's horse character having a coke problem.

James is off to never never-land, as he considers Metallica: Through The Never and the band's appearances in the movies...
A Metallica movie? Oh yeah? Say f*ck yeah, James! I'm there and I'm throwing up heavy metal horns and headbanging like a maniac. Unfortunately, trying to watch a film and simultaneously make moshpit movements is a tricky feat to pull off.
It raises a distressing dilemma: "to rock out or not to rock out?" It's a little like those moments where you're enjoying a musical and can't resist singing along, except with the Headbanger Hamlet question, there's little chance of you being able to follow what's happening on screen.
You can't properly appreciate, say, the cinematography and nuanced depth of the acting performances with blurred vision and flailing hair in your eyes. Also, as unfortunate possible side effects, you can end up...

Director: Raimund Huber. Review: Chris Sawin. Gordon Liu has starred in the likes of "The 36th Chamber of Shaolin," the "Kill Bill" films, "True Legend," and most recently "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate." He plays the villainous and maniacal Snakehead in "Kill 'em All," but even his appearance in the film feels saturated. "Kill 'em All" begins with little to no dialogue and introduces each character with a fight scene or something exploding. Then the world's "best" assassins are drugged and taken to The Killing Chamber where a man shouts orders to everyone being held prisoner. One-on-one duels to the death are determined by a series of challenges that usually involve a random number being given to everyone and the two with the lowest numbers fight first. As they're picked off one by one, the few survivors remaining team together to escape. Some have revenge on their mind while others...

Well Go U.S.A have treated north America to some of the best that Asian cinema has to offer, but their latest release shows they’re not above releasing some good old fashioned, ultra violent, exploitationist low budget pulp when the mood takes them. And to that we say bravo. Director Raimund Huber’s fight flick Kill ‘Em All debuts on Blu-ray™, DVD and Digital December 11th. Synopsis: Welcome to the Killing Chamber - a high-tech bunker where captured international assassins are ready to do what they do best, just to survive. If they're going to break out of this concrete hell, they must duel each other, fight deadly ninjas, and battle against gangs of masked maniacs. If they manage to survive that, they will have to confront Snakehead: the lethal, deranged top dog who will stop at nothing to Kill 'Em All!

In "Hesher," opening Friday (May 13), 30-year-old Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays way against type as a cantankerous and somewhat mysterious metal head who attaches himself to a family (headed by "The Office's" Rainn Wilson) coping with tragedy. Oddly enough, hilarity, vulgarity -- and some truly touching moments -- ensue.
Zap2it recently spoke with Gordon-Levitt about "Hesher," his casting in the next "Batman" movie and his views on celebrity.
'You confessed to being a metal fan in real life. Metallica is a big part of the 'Hesher' sountrack. What are your favorite Metallica albums?
Jgl: The stuff I grew up listening to is "Master of Puppets," "Ride the Lightning", "Kill 'em All."
The movie has kind of a timeless feel to it -- was that deliberate?
