Recently on CW's Remodeled the model agency, Courtier, was featured. Viewers were left with many questions about this promising new business. I went straight to the source to find the answers.
The agency began as a small, aspiring business. Recio told me the company began in advertising. The modeling aspect of the business was the most profitable and interesting aspect of their business. In 2009, Recio decided to transform the company into a modeling agency. A turning point for Recio and his partners, Donovan Ahders and Jose Trifilio, was the International Model and Talent Association competition in New York. Unlike their competition, Recio's team took only their three top models in hopes of receiving more recognition. Their strategy paid off. They received numerous awards and honors from the competition. The Industry saw Courtier's achievements and began to investigate. Later that year, Paul Fisher paid Recio Jackson a surprise visit. He and...

It looks like the Humphries family has something to be happy about. Twenty-nine year-old Kaela Humphries on Monday (March 5) announced that she signed a contract with Ford Models to join the agency's plus-size division.
"So excited to be working with the team @fordmodels!" Kaela tweets. "This is going to be a great 2012! Stay tuned:)"
Brother Kris, who had a tumultuous 2011 with his very public and short-lived marriage to Kim Kardashian, couldn't be happier.
"Congrats to my sister @kaelahumphries for officially signing with Ford," tweets Kris.
According to E!, Kaela has some experience. She was previously signed to Wilhemina and made her modeling debut at the 2011 Richie Rich fashion show. Kaela also appeared in the first episode of The CW's "Remodeled."
"There's a word that I can't stand, this word 'plus-size' model," said "Remodeled's Paul Fisher in January. "Kaela, they call her a plus-size model. I don't even know what this word plus means.

Read our exclusive interview with Paul Fisher, who can currently be seen hosting the CW series ‘Remodeled,’ which airs on Wednesday nights at 9/8pm C. The show gives Fisher the leverage to change the industry from the inside out. He brings together hundreds of small agencies around the world in a new venture called The Network, which has two missions: to make sure agents in small towns aren’t taken advantage of, and to empower models to take control of their careers and lead healthier lives. ‘Remodeled’ follows Fisher as he visits struggling Network companies across America to fix them and create the largest agency in the world. The CW hasn’t been able to successfully launch a reality series in its six-year history. (Long-running hit America’s Next Top Model originated on Upn.) That is not going to change after the premiere of the network’s latest unscripted effort, fashion docu series Remodeled, which opened last night with miniscule 707,000 viewers and 0.3/1 among adults 18-49 to rank as the CW’s lowest-rated series premiere ever. That was well below the CW’s two most recent reality series, the short-lived H8R, which opened with 1.3 million viewers and a 0.6 18-49 rating in September, and Shedding For The Wedding (1.2 million, 0.5). In Remodeled‘s defense, the other two series had America’s Next Top Model as lead-in, while it followed a new 90210, which returned from a five-week hiatus with 1.3 million viewers and a 0.6/2 in 18-49, down 25% in the demo from its last original. Still, the CW put a lot of muscle...

After taking an extended hiatus for personal reasons, agent Paul Fisher has returned to the modeling scene. In the Remodeled premiere, "A Latte to Learn," we find out why Fisher is back, along with his new mission.
Just a little bit of history: Fisher was a legend in the heyday of the "supermodel." He represented some of the world's biggest beauties, including Naomi Campbell, Stephanie Seymour, Brooke Burke, Kimora Lee Simmons and Carla Bruni. To put it bluntly, he knows his stuff!
Upon Fisher's return he has different intentions. He wants to focus on bringing together small agencies from around the world, revamping them and having them join what he calls "The Network." In the premiere, we see Fisher and his team on their path to rebuilding. You see agencies that can't keep their clients, aren't finding the best talent and just not performing well.

Okay, it.s not like any of us had high hopes for Remodeled, The CW.s new modeling reality show whose main distinction is not being America.s Next Top Model. But the basic premise had the potential to be fun: .Super agent. Paul Fisher travels to different struggling agencies within his .Network,. Tabatha's Salon Takeover-style, in order to fix them. (First up: a small agency with big problems!) Meanwhile, some of The Network.s standout models travel to New York to try to book gigs for Fashion... More >>...

We'll just get right to it: The CW doesn't have the best track record when it comes to reality shows. "America's Next Top Model" is the only one that's lasted more than a season, and that was adopted from Upn when The CW took its place in 2006.
Paul Fisher, whose "Remodeled" kicked off Tuesday night on The CW, insists that his show is not a reality show. "We call it a docu-series," he tells us when we sit down with him and his assistant, Joseph Villanueva. "The reason being that we just allowed them to follow us in what we do every single day. It was a dream of mine to transform the modeling industry, and when Sony found out what we were doing, they asked if they could do a show on us. We fought it for six months, saying 'This isn't a business to us! This is a mission of passion!

Paul Fisher has a lot of things to overcome. The owner of the Network, an umbrella company overseeing something like 150 modeling agencies across the country, has to whip all those small businesses into shape so they can discover new talent and keep it. He’s got to convince models and the people who hire them that it’s not just the big NYC agencies that matter. And he’s got to overcome the revulsion he once felt for the industry that he left for 10 years. And he’s got to convince us that Remodeled, which premieres on the CW tonight, is worth adding to the already full roster of modeling shows on our DVR list. But that’s not enough. He also wants to create models who will change the world. Wait, what?
In the ’80s and ’90s, Fisher rep’d the likes of Naomi Campbell, Stephanie Seymour, Carre Otis and Kimora Lee Simmons.

Chicago – Who cares? Seriously, we have reached the bottom of the reality TV barrel with The CW’s “Remodeled,” a show that takes people who weren’t meant for TV, pumps up their more extreme behavior, and calls it television. We’ve all seen people with questionable degrees of talent who reach for the reality TV grail with dozens of basic cable programs but rarely has this degree of silliness made it to the broadcast networks.
Television Rating: 1.0/5.0
Like nearly everything that misses its mark on TV lately, “Remodeled” can be broken down into a simple pitch — “Kitchen Nightmares” meets “America’s Next Top Model.” Here’s a hint to TV execs — if you can break down a show into “X meets X,” it’s not creative enough for today’s market. Audiences are smarter than you think they are. Quit talking down to them if you want to save your network.

Just when you thought the modeling world was dramatic enough, there's a new Kardashian connection! If you're a regular HollywoodLife.com reader, you know that two of the things we love talking about more than anything are Kris Humphries and TV shows on The CW. So imagine our delight to learn that Kris' sister, Kaela Humphries, will appear on the pilot episode of The CW's new modeling reality show Remodeled, airing Jan. 17! In the episode, Paul Fisher meets Kaela in Minneapolis and tries to convince the plus-size model to sign with a talent agency. Of course, we know he must have been successful, because she Kaela ended up debuting on the runway in Sept. 2011 during New York Fashion Week. As the New York Post points out, Kaela's first runway show also served as one of the first clues that Kris' marriage to Kim Kardashian was crumbling, as Kim was a...

The CW is betting big on Remodeled. The young-skewing network has delayed the midseason returns of Sarah Michelle Gellar's Ringer and 90210 to make room for two airings of the new modeling reality series Remodeled.
