Sex & Nudity

  • A journalist seductively asks Sherlock to sign her shirt, opening up her jacket to reveal cleavage.

Violence & Gore

  • A man abruptly shoots himself in the mouth and, though the camera pulls away before the shot, his dead body is later seen again, blood trickling out the back of his head, but without any wounds or blood seen on himself.
  • Two men are shot and killed quite unexpectedly and a little bit of blood is seen spurting.
  • Two young children are abducted and kept in a dirty and desolate factory with slightly poisoned sweets being all they get to eat. As they are rescued, they are already in a highly dreadful condition.
  • A man punches another man offscreen, but the victim is seen with a bleeding nose moments later.
  • A man is beaten multiple times while being interrogated, but the violence can only be heard, not seen.

Profanity

  • Approximately 10 religious exclamations, 5 derogatory terms (the likes of "d**k" or "s*d"), 3 mild obscenities (being the word "bloody"), and some mild insults ("idiot", for example).

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • All deaths in this episode are quite intense because of how sudden they happen. Especially in its final minutes, this episode is very dramatic and emotional.
  • The abduction sub-plot, which involves shots of "HELP US" being written on a wall or the girl screaming in terror when seeing the main character, is additionally intense and very likely to be unsettling for younger audiences.
