The Cleveland Show "Die semi- hard"
Atomic_Peace12 December 2011
Warning: Spoilers
In the first satire of the series, Cleveland tells the story of "Die Hard" the best Christmas blockbuster of the past millennium, after touching down in California, Cleveland is driven to "Waterman Cable international" he reconnects with Donna and uses the bathroom. Shortly after the tower is taken over by terrorist(Tim the Bear, Lester, Federline, Robert and Kendra)while Cleveland runs amok the building bear foot and wearing a tang top as well did Bruce Willis, hostages start numbering down Cleveland is there only hope. Will Cleveland be able to save the day and kill all of his best friends, you'll have to watch and find out. In my opinion I liked the episode, the jokes were laughable and intelligent it is untold if they will do the same next year butt the episode is getting very good reception so far. I give the episode 8-10 stars.

A well done parody
Mzfan2813 December 2011
I was laughing through almost the entire episode. They succeeded in making a very funny parody. Die Hard was a great movie and one that people haven't thought about in a while. Bringing it back into the public eye you will find yourself cracking up at the memories of the movie that came out over 20 years ago. I think one of the biggest problems people were having with the show is that it tends to have younger viewers that have never seen the first die hard and thus don't understand the jokes even so the episode was funny and if you didn't know exactly what they were talking about from the movie it will still make you laugh. I recommend it fully and can not wait for the 2nd one.

Typical McFarlane Fun, lots of references to the Original good Parody

Warning: Spoilers
This is the quintessential Seth McFarlane parody. When you watch one of the Family Guy creator's parodies, you are looking at his ability to combine the basics of the Original with the world of the show, while observing the collision of the Original and the parody. It is quite remarkable to see how seamless and entertaining that is done with their production. Generally, everyone is not familiar with the Die Hard franchise; but The Cleveland Show's humor is prevalent and you can still enjoy another episode and then become educated in classic action films. The humor presents itself in every instant always making fun of voids and trademark scenes of the original while using the nature of the Cleveland Show's characters resulting in funny outcomes. My favorite void was the portrayal of McCain ending without shoes, it was so Cleveland, and how he was barefooted a midst all the broken glass shards. Another example of signature Seth McFarlane's humor: the pistol duct-taped to Cleveland's back. So over all I think this episode was rich in context and creativity, quite funny and typical of all the McFarlane type humor. Good parody and great entertainment!

Awesome Warning: Spoilers
This parody is excellent and is without a doubt, the best episode. Here's why.

Excellent parody of Die Hard.

Cleveland and Donna are much more likable here.

Cleveland is now a heroic man, rather than being a black version of Peter Griffin.

The action scenes are always satisfying and are just as memorable to watch, much like the original Die Hard.

A lot of the Villains are pretty fierce much like Tim.

The episode is faithful to the original Die Hard movie.

The jokes are actually funny and bring good laughs to the episode and these Seasons.

There are zero cutaways, which makes it even better as we are given action and great comedy.

The "falling bathtub" gag from Family Guy makes a return. That will always be hilarious.

Well Done Parody

Warning: Spoilers
If only this episode had aired in the first season, this show might have had a chance. A spot-on Die-Hard parody with Cleveland taking on the role of John McClane, and Tim the Bear (naturally) playing Hans Gruber. Pretty much every scene works here, from the scene with Rallo as a cab driver who pretends to listen to Cleveland's stories, to the closing scene, where Cleveland, Jr. was the only one who enjoyed the story ("Will there be a sequel?" "We'll see what the internet says."). Sadly, there never was a sequel, and there likely never will be. But I, for one, would have to see this show take on Die Hard 2: Die Harder.

Sucked...

Warning: Spoilers
This episode clearly points out the lack of humor and vision at the core of the Cleveland Show. First of all, nobody wants to see a parody of a movie from 1988, especially Die Hard. Second, it was not funny at all. The only time I even cracked a smile was at the end when Junior shot the kid. the show's definitely hit bottom. MacFarlane needs to put Cleveland back on Family Guy and keep the laughs coming there. He's diluting his comedy over his 3 shows, and it's affecting the better two - Family Guy and American Dad (arguable). I don't know if he's trying to go for a Tyler Perry record of simultaneously running shows or what, but he's really wasting time and creative energy on the Cleveland Show.
