Laura Day is evil incarnate- full stop. She absolutely is responsible for Taylor's death, and failed that little boy at every possible turn. She was an evil wretch of a person long before that point, and it's the least shocking aspect that she was left to walk out of prison in California despite her innumerable crimes, not the least of which was murder.
The father (David) is simply no better- HE KNEW who and what she was, and let his desires/ego outweigh the safety of his son. She should have never been left alone with his son, much less supervising him while swimming in the ocean. She murdered your son, made zero attempts to save him, and you still stay with her and support her? WHAT?!?! You knew the conditions of her bond release, yet you willingly walked into the mall with her 'in disguise' knowing what she did? You are a horrible person and didn't deserve to have that beautiful boy.
Laura is so gross- I feel like I need a shower after listening to her. She's so vulgar and so full of herself; convinced of her righteousness and insisting she was 'too distraught' to do anything to save that poor boy, and is right where she deserves to be. She's a horrible person and my only hope is she's so in danger in prison that she has to suffer in solitary confinement. She didn't perform cpr despite being trained, she allowed a SMALL CHILD into the ocean with no life jacket, she is evil. Plain and simple.
The only issues I can see are David not being held at least partially responsible for the horrific events that unfurled that day. His willingness to stand beside her is sickening, and should be in a cell for such ridiculous behavior and absolutely no morals whatsoever. He is a reprehensible and awful person.
How this was portrayed and allowing this awful woman so much unfettered attention with absolutely no pushback on anything she says and showing her anything resembling sympathy is gross.
