In the early 1960's, The Brothers Grim became the first American group to be endorsed by Vox Amplifiers and guitars which were made famous by the The Beatles. In the very first publication of VOX TEEN BEAT (Vol. 1 No. 1), J.P. Sloane and Ron Coleman were featured standing back to back against the big Vox AC 100 Amplifier. Since that time several other bands have copied the name "The Brothers Grim" but the group that appeared on "9th Street West" was the original group.
