It’s a fairly big month on Prime Video in March, at least compared to the other streaming service offerings! There are are two major films arriving on Amazon’s streamer. The first is a remake of the Patrick Swayze action classic Road House. Stepping into the late Swayze’s shoes? A crazy-jacked Jake Gyllenhaal, who really seemed to want to go the extra mile for this project.
The other big film coming to Prime Video is Ricky Stanicky, and the plot sounds really fun! It follows three friends who have always blamed their mistakes on an imaginary guy called Ricky Stanicky. When they have to finally introduce people to Stanicky, they decide to hire a washed-up actor (John Cena) to impersonate him. Hilarity ensues, maybe? But if neither of those make your watchlist, there’s also the return of the animated hit series Invincible.

"Vampire Diaries" fans are used to seeing Sara Canning play the clueless but lovably snarky Jenna Sommers, one of the last to know about the town's vampire problem. In Saturday's Hallmark Movie Channel original, "Hannah's Law," we'll see a whole new side to Canning as the titular Hannah Beaumont, a bounty hunter on a quest for vengeance in the Old West.
As a young girl growing up in Texas, Hannah watches from a hiding place as outlaws led by Frank McMurphy (John Pyper-Ferguson) slaughter her family to steal their horses. She's sent to an orphanage, and later meets Danny Glover's Isom Dart, who mentors her in the art of bounty hunting.
Isom Dart, of course, is a famous frontier gunfighter. He isn't the only real historical figure who appears in "Hannah's Law." We'll see her torn between two potential suitors -- Wyatt Earp (Greyston Holt), and John Henry "Doc...

Hannah's Law, with Ryan Kennedy playing Doc Holliday and John Pyper-Ferguson as Frank McMurphy (the bad guy) premieres on the Hallmark Movie Channel tonight at 8/7c.
Synopsis:
From orphan to bounty hunter, tough-minded Hannah Beaumont doesn’t take lip from anyone. Hannah is driven by a soul-consuming mission to track down and bring to justice the McMurphy gang, who brutally murdered her parents and young brother.
Comfortable as a mercenary, Hannah’s fierce independence keeps the people in her life at a distance: Isom Dart, the father figure who taught Hannah everything he knows about shooting and hunting men, handsome admirer and suitor Wyatt Earp, mysterious Doc Holliday and Hannah’s best friend, Stagecoach Mary.
But when Hannah and her friends prove to the McMurphy gang that getting into Dodge is easy but getting out will be hell, a shocking secret is revealed that will change Hannah’s life forever.

Time flies... The Hallmark Movie Channel original movie we told you about last October, with Danny Glover and Kimberly Elise co-starring, will premiere on Saturday, June 9 at 8Pm Et/Pt. A few quick mid-week updates.
Eric Stoltz directed tonight's episode of Glee, "Big Brother," which airs at 8 pm on Fox. His next episode will be 3x19, "Prom-a-Saurus," which airs next month.
He also wrote a guest column in this week's Entertainment Weekly. Snippet:
When I first came to the Glee set last season, I could tell they’d been through a great deal - the actors were close-knit and a bit guarded, and rightly so. Who was this redheaded stranger coming into their world, asking questions and taking notes? Before I started directing a show, I try to spend a few weeks hanging around the set, getting to know the crew and talking to the actors about how they like to work. Who is fussy? Who is left-handed? Who wants to go home early, and who is the perfectionist? There is no “right” way to work, and familiarizing myself with...

A familiar face to Vampire Diaries fans will make an appearance on the third season finale - but there's a twist.
As first reported by Zap2It, Sara Canning will reprise the role of Aunt Jenna on the May 10 installment, but only in flashback form.
The finale - titled "The Departed" - will focus a great deal on Elena and the guilt that overwhelms her as a result of all the loved ones she's lost over the years. Along with memories of Jenna, viewers will witness snippets of her parents' car accident.
Since leaving The Vampire Diaries, Canning has appeared on an episode of Supernatural and filmed the TV movie Hannah's Law. Are you excited to see her again on Tvd?...

Last spring, "Vampire Diaries" fans were devastated to lose Sara Canning when the villainous Klaus sacrificed her character, Jenna, in his lust for power. Luckily, Canning didn't bother to take much time off after Jenna's tragic death.
She headed back to her native Vancouver eight months ago, and has since played a wide variety of characters -- she'll appear as the bounty hunter title character in Hallmark's upcoming "Hannah's Law," and recently wrapped the comedy "I Think I Do" in Edmonton.
This week, we'll see her return to The CW on "Supernatural" as one of Dean's "work-out partners" (as he describes it in the exclusive clip above) who turns out to be much, much more than he bargained for.
Spoiler alert: She's having his baby. Quickly.
"It's funny, because you audition with certain expectations, and then later you find out the full extent of what the character arc is," Canning tells us.

A few updates to wrap the week.
Let's start with yesterday's episode of The Firm. Brian Markinson made an appearance and if I hadn't trusted the press release (which didn't mention him) over IMDb, I totally would have posted a heads-up. You can watch the episode on NBC.com. It will be available until February 17.
Grimm is back tonight at 9 pm on NBC and Portlandia's BSG ep, "One Moore Episode," with Ron Moore, Edward James Olmos and James Callis, airs at 10 pm on IFC.
Synopsis & teaser for Grimm 1x08, "Game Ogre:"
An Escaped Fugitive’S Murderous Rampage Lands At Nick’S Front Door
An escapee returns to Portland seeking revenge against those who put him behind bars. His unusual strength and high tolerance for pain makes Nick (David Giuntoli) take notice. As the case escalates Nick and Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) are put in danger, and Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell...

Patton Oswalt guest stars in Bored to Death again tonight at 9 pm on HBO. Also at 9, there is a new episode of Hart of Dixie with Scott Porter on the CW.
If you are in Los Angeles, Patton Oswalt will take part in a live reading of The Breakfast Club this Thursday at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art to raise funds for Film Independent (the group behind the Spirit Awards).
The Walking Dead, still scored by Bear McCreary, returned yesterday and broke the cable ratings record with its season premiere.
Elsewhere in Undead, remember Bryan Singer's Battlestar Galactica movie (Tos reboot, not really related to our BSG & Caprica) that was supposed to happen at one point but didn't? Looks like it zombied its way back to life. Here is what Singer told SFX the other day, when asked about his Excalibur remake not going ahead:
“Yeah, unfortunately...
