HBO's "The Last of Us" takes place in a world forever changed by a cordyceps brain infection caused by the cordyceps fungus. The fungus turns people into powerful, mushroom-y zombies. The infected have ravaged through America, wreaking havoc on the country and the people living there, including Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey).
The show is based on the video game of the same name, and that game first introduced the taxonomy of zombies that the show uses: runner, stalker, clicker, and bloater. Ahead, we're breaking them all down and how each zombie stage flows into the other.
"The Last of Us" Zombies: Runners
Runners are the first type of zombie, transformed from people who are newly infected. If a person is bitten in their upper body, they'll turn into a runner zombie in mere minutes. If they're bitten on one of their extremities like an arm or leg,...

As season 5 of Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles airs in the UK, Matt salutes the terrific penultimate run...
Earlier this year Nickelodeon announced that they would be launching a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon in 2018. Normally, this would be good news. However, in this instance, it served as confirmation that the current cartoon, the 2012 computer animated series we’ve come to refer to as 'Nick Turtles', would be finishing with its fifth season. And as much as we’re excited for a fresh take on the material, this current version is one of the best takes on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to date.

They Grow Up So Fast! Chrissy Teigen Shares Video of Daughter Luna Waving ‘Hello’ to Dad John Legend
It seems like only yesterday that John Legend and Chrissy Teigen welcomed their first child, daughter Luna Simone, into the world.
But in reality, that was in April — and the now-8-month-old is starting to really step up her communication game!
Case in point: “We miss you, papa!! Can’t wait for you to come home!” Teigen, 31, captioned a sweet Instagram clip of Legend’s mini me, outfitted in a long-sleeved pink Carter’s onesie and waving at the camera.

The penultimate episode before Grimm's season 5 mid-run finale leaves us with more questions than answers...
This review contains spoilers.
5.5 The Rat King
Grimm this week was really only about one thing: the return of Trubel.
There was an ancillary plot involving a “20ft ratzilla” (in Monroe’s own words), but thankfully the better half of the episode was dedicated to Trubel, and the efforts by the Wesen group known as Occultus Liberare to capture her.
First things first, then. The Wesen of the week story was fine, if not a little silly. Apparently a giant ‘Rat King’ can be formed by a group of Reinigen (the rat-like Wesen we first saw in Danse Macabre in season 1) to seek revenge on their enemies. In this case that’s some redneck Klaustreich, cat-like Wesen that Grimm Wiki helpfully explains “are typically known for being jerks in the Wesen community.

Hey, "Grimm" peeps. We regrettably have to tell you that NBC is sidelining your favorite show tonight, probably because of the holidays and will be airing some awful National Dog show instead, so you'll definitely want to make some other plans. The new episode 5 labeled, "Rat King," is due to air next week, Friday night, December 4th at 8pm central time, so be sure to jot that date down on your TV calendars. NBC did release the promo/spoiler clip (below) for episode 5, last week, in case you haven't checked it out yet. The official plot summary for episode 5, reads like his: "Nick and Hank will be called to the scene when three Wesen go out on a hunt at a local dump and get more than they bargained for when two turn up dead after they encounter the mythical Rat King. Meanwhile, a very badly wounded Trubel will get...

Like a supermarket shopper eyeing the half-priced sushi on a Monday night, I approached this week’s Saturday Night Live with some concerns about its freshness.
After all, the Matthew McConaughey-hosted episode represented the third consecutive SNL installment in three weeks — leaving me to wonder if (following Donald Trump and Elizabeth Banks’ outings) the show’s writing staff might run dry solid punchlines and inventive ideas.

You can’t help but see a little irony in The Blacklist’s fall finale.
After months of living on the run, hopscotching from underground bunker to empty apartment and back again, it wasn’t The Cabal that finally got the best of Liz and Red. It wasn’t some demented blacklister that Red had his eye on for years, and it wasn’t even the FBI task force. (Well, it sort of was, but more on that later.)

To celebrate Tmnt season 3 starting this weekend, Matt once again watches some favourite episodes and eats too much cake...
In an incredible display of commitment to my craft, in order to complete this article I spent an entire weekend watching cartoons and eating cake. You’re welcome, Den of Geek readers.
With the third season of the cartoon launching in the UK and the second half of the second season arriving on DVD, I decided it was time I wrote something else about one of my favourite television shows. Then, in my local supermarket, I found this.
It was the same Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cake that I had bought last year, except that this one was Michelangelo! As it had a slightly different mouth and a different colour headband, I obviously had to buy it immediately. I have no problem paying out twice for a lazy rejig if I...

The jurist Trebiatus defines the profane as that which is “Sacred or religious, and is then restituted to man’s use and property,” and this definition launches Giorgio Agamben’s “Eloge of Profanation.”1 The initial movement of pornography, as Agamben writes, was one of profanation, of restitution towards possible usage of the sexual act. Yet its profanation has been rendered powerless in the spectacle which pornography has become, in which not the bodies themselves are being exposed, but as Walther Benjamin writes ‘the conscience of being exposed itself’. And so pornography becomes the ultimate “unprofanable”—an act disempowered, ordered, assimilated, locked into a seemingly unchangeable relation, whose powers of profanation have been neutralized, and thus removed from potential usage by man.
This deviation of pornography’s initial potential changed the pornographic image into the ur-object of a consumption, one which leaves its image digitally intact, bolted into a potential cycle...

This year we’ve got seven films claiming Cinemania glory and, so far, two do the title justice – Rat King and Jackpot.
