- One tribe calls upon the heavens in hopes of changing their luck, while the other tribe is left in shock when one of their own makes a risky move that will go down in Survivor history.
- Previously on 'Survivor': Christine has been a machine on Redemption Island and seems to be on her way back into the game. Ozzy was on the outs at Savaii, but an immunity challenge win made everything better. Mikayla became the odd woman out at Upolu and was sent off.
Upolu: Edna is worried that her name has come up again at Tribal Council. She says Brandon's outbursts are making him a liability, and adds that he's making her job easier with every outburst. Rick and Coach, meanwhile, talk about having to keep Brandon under control. Later, Coach tells us that if Brandon becomes a liability, he's going to have to go.
Redemption Island: Christine and Mikayla have to take planks off of a crate, build a bridge with them, then use some of the planks to make a puzzle. The first to finish stays in the game.
Christine gets her planks released first. Albert tries to help Mikayla along, but offers no such help to Christine, who was also once his tribe mate. Christine maintains her slight edge heading into the puzzle-making portion, but Mikayla finishes her puzzle first -- at least she thinks she does. Jeff says one part is not right and the competition continues. Christine swoops in and takes another Redemption Island win, making five in a row. Albert shakes his head.
Ozzy takes notice and says his tribe might have to make the "big move" of intentionally sending someone to Redemption Island who can beat Christine and even out the numbers between the tribes ahead of the merge. Little does Ozzy know that Christine is likely to flip in Savaii's favor.
Ozzy tells Cochran about what he's now calling his "worst-case scenario plan." He tells Cochran he's willing to go, lending someone his immunity idol, and attempt to beat Christine on Redemption.
Upolu: Coach feels his tribe is "down in the dumps" and that revealing the hidden immunity idol would lift people's spirits. The tribe sets out to look for the idol -- with only Albert and Sophie knowing that Coach already has it. They pray together, which makes Sophie a little uncomfortable because of the outright lie.
Coach and Sophie go find tree mail and "find" the idol, which Brandon attributes to "the big guy upstairs" helping them.
Immunity challenge: The tribes have to pair up and paint themselves to represent their pairs. The winning tribe will get to see a sneak preview of the new Adam Sandler movie, "Jack & Jill."
Two pairs in each tribe will be blindfolded while the third couple will serve as callers, guiding the blindfolded pairs through an obstacle course where they need to collect four bags with masks in them. Once the bags of masks are collected, the blindfolded players will have to use only their sense of touch to pair the eight masks.
It's pretty evenly matched until Savaii gets tangled up for a while. Savaii makes up a fair amount of time, though. But Ozzy and Whitney get tangled up on their ropes -- which Cochran was responsible for doing. Jeff calls Cochran's shoddy rope work out, and Ozzy is enraged afterward.
Cochran's concerned that Ozzy's previously stated plan has gone out the window because of how badly he (Cochran) messed up.
After the challenge, Upolu enjoys hot dogs and candy while watching the movie.
Back at Savaii's camp, Ozzy is still going off and Cochran tells us "this is a new level of ostracism." They start talking about who's going home and Cochran's convinced he's going home. Ozzy tells Cochran directly, "You lost it for us." Cochran says he "should be held accountable," and Ozzy opens up the discussion of this being Cochran's shot at redemption. Cochran isn't as convinced that he can win. Cochran tells us later that he found it weird that everyone had a unified position behind sending him to Redemption Island as the man who could seal the victory.
The next morning, Ozzy talks again about the original plan to send himself to Redemption Island and says he had some crazy dreams telling him this is what he needs to do. He thinks he wants to go to Redemption Island to redeem himself. He tells the tribe the plan and they're dubious. Keith isn't so sure, and he's not convinced the merge will happen as everyone seems to be expecting it to. Jim also thinks it's a "scary position to be in" if the merge doesn't happen for another challenge.
Tribal Council: Ozzy tells Jeff there was a lot of finger pointing, and it was focused on Cochran, who talks about how flustered he got.
Cochran says the group is "hopeful" that Redemption Island will help the group. Ozzy tells Jeff, "I'm putting my life on the line." He tells Jeff he saw the merge in his dream and he saw his own redemption. He says his heart and gut are telling him to go to Redemption Island. He further spells out a plan to tell Christine that Cochran had found the idol and played it, which will turn Cochran into a villain and a "double agent."
Jeff mentions that if Ozzy loses at Redemption Island, he'll go out looking like a bigger fool than in any of his previous outings. Keith admits there are reservations and Whitney says she's concerned that if there's another challenge and the team is without Ozzy, they won't be at 100 percent.
The vote: Cochran writes down Ozzy's name and says that in 22 seasons of "Survivor," he's never seen anything like this.
Jeff makes the call for the hidden idol to either be played or given away and Ozzy says he's changed his mind and is going to let Cochran go to Redemption Island. He then says he's kidding, and hands Cochran the idol, making him promise to give it back if Ozzy gets back into the game. Ozzy then says, "Let's do this."
Jeff reads the votes: Ozzy, Ozzy, Ozzy and the seventh person voted out is Ozzy.
Jeff calls it "one of the biggest moves in the history of this game, based on one big assumption: that the merge is next."
Ozzy gets to Redemption Island and immediately puts his plan into effect, asking Christine to guess how he got there and she says, "Cochran."
