At age 70, Paul McCartney finally decided to direct one of his music videos himself for the first time. And to make it an experience, he got Johnny Depp and recent Academy Award winner Natalie Portman on board. The film is very simple. The pair express McCartney's lyrics in sign language and the fact that the film is completely in black and white gives it a nice artistic touch.

What I didn't like that much was Depp's hands full of rings and jewelery. It gave an unpleasant contrast to the whole simplicity of the film. It was nice to see him without heavy makeup he usually wears for of his characters for once though. I'm a bit undecided on Portman moving her mouth to voicing the words McCartney sings. It looks kinda odd, but, on the other hand, it also gives the film a more emotional note. The song itself is only mediocre. If you're a fan of one of the trio involved, check it out. Otherwise, this is far from being a must-see.
