"Panda no Daibouken" is a children's anime feature produced by Toei Animation in 1973. This film runs for under one hour.
Basic plot: The film centers around Ronron (Bobo in the Norwegian dub), a panda born as a prince. He has to climb up a waterfall in order to be worthy as a prince, but fails the test. And therefore he has to leave his home. While preparing to get stronger than before, he ends up at a circus together with some other animals. On the other side, several evil bears prepare to take over the place of the queen, a polar bear whom Ronron calls mom.
I was a young boy when I first saw this film as recorded on a VHS. This film happened to be not only the first anime feature I've seen in my life (despite the fact I didn't know anything about Japanese animation back then), but it also happened to be my favorite movie at the time, until Disney/Pixar's "Toy Story" came in 1996. The animation was beautiful, somewhat different from most other animations I saw in my young period. The music itself was also beautiful, mostly on the moving scenes.
I can even recall this movie being released two times on VHS in the 90s, one time by the now defunct CCV Video A/S, and the second time by Warner Home Video. It's Norwegian title was "Panda På Eventyr", seemingly literally translated from it's Japanese or English title.
So "Panda's Adventures", I'm looking at you as one of my greatest childhood memories ever. My overall rating is 8/10
